You've got 40 more years of driving/racing knowledge than I do (and probably most of us)! :P Good to know this is fun for all ages :)

I'm 62. Any other older >60 yr. old guys playing at this level? A Spec = 24 B Spec =23
and @ANFD. Excellent, nearly there on Aspec but several years behind on the age.

While I am delighted by the respect given to the older generation on here, as someone in his 50s to yourselves in your 60s, you are not old-timers.... not yet. :)

Blimey I feel Young again i'm 51 i'm at 29 A-SPEC and 16 B-Spec

Great to see People of all Age's still out there Playing the Games 👍

I'll be 60 in a few days. I'm only Lv 27 in the game. B spec is (I think) Lv 12. I have been grinding the Expert European Rome Race for money (I was up to 8 million credits). Bought a load of decent cars to run in it and made sure I came out of using each with a "profit". I bought the Formula GT the second time it appeared. I still have about 1.6 million credits to play with.

I retired in July 2006 and have spent a very large percentage of my time playing games since then. I have a 360 (I have every car in Forza 3 including the DLC ones... never completed the game though) as well as the PS3. I still have a backlog of games I have yet to play and GT5 is not helping!

I don't know why you guys are surprised. These guys are right about the age of the first parents who bought the first video games for their kids as I'm about the age of the first kids who had video games. And who do you think was playing those games with us when our friends weren't around and we wanted to play? Moms and Pops (because little sis just sucked bad lol) Just cause we got older they didn't hand out a decree or something saying stop playing at age X. We all wanted to see what the next "it" game was going to be. You always going to want to see the next game and as long as you're alive you're going to get it.

Im 31 and im in lvl A21-B16, and i start to think to reach the lvl 40 at the age of 60 or more.

Nice one OP

I'm 30yrs old and currently level 21.

Right on! Once a gamer...always a gamer!

My advice to the younger set .... don't ever lose your "imagination". Without it, you forget how to "play" :)

I am only 50, actually turned 50 the day GT5 was released, but that is outstanding advise. If you want to stay young and fresh do things that stimulate you, challenge you and excite you.
👍

Okay, just turned 50, 12-15 years until retirement.. what does the future hold?.... I'll be playing GT8 on the just released PS6 on my holographic 4 dimensional 'TV' while wearing nothing but a smile and my full body, virtual reality immersion suit. WOW

I'm also born in '48. I started GT5 late and I'm a little behind at the moment, but I have my hopes and dreams, plans and schemes, to catch up to your excellent scores! It's great to see the retirees doing well.

Respectfully yours,
Dotini

Thanks guys. I'll be sending out some friend requests today. Maybe I'll meet some of you on-line but I first want to improve my handling skills with the faster cars like my Mazda 727B (I just love those colors!).

I'm "two-footing" my DFGT setup and trying to get a better touch/feathering on my throttle response. I find it easier to use my left foot for braking but since I don't drive like that in "real" life, my "virtual" driving needs more practice :) Sometimes letting up on the throttle is better than braking. What are your opinions?

Alex

Looking for the perfect line. ...

I'm only 42 at level 27, but my Dad set a pretty good time on th Top-Gear track the other day. He's 74, but more into games like Fable! LOL

Hate to break the news to you buddy, but I too am 62 (wasn't '48 a great year) :) and I'm a stone's throw from Level 29. I've done every event except the Formula Gran Turismo (missed it by 1.4 million the one time it showed up on the lot) and have finished the first 4 Endurance Events. Needless to say, they're all Golds :)

I don't know if you're retired like me, but since I am now a professional teenager, I just play a lot (it's not like I'm really good or anything) :)

To put it in perspective, I have over 70 Ferrari F2007's in my Prologue garage :)

Video posted more than a year ago when there was like only 68 I think .....

Dude! You are awesome! I'm retired too but I do try to get out and workout/exercise since it's real easy to play GT5 24/7 LOL. I'm wondering if my ADD (attention deficit disorder):sly: will allow me to play race those longer endurance events? or will my PS3 not simply overheat?

Too bad we can't race those Ferrari F-1's in A Spec? What's that all about? Plus I have yet to see the Formula Gran Turismo pop up for sale? I have one in my PSP arcade garage though.

41 years

B-spec 6

Good to see some older gen folks enjoying GT5. My folks frown upon my one hobby. Apparently, golf, fishing, or hunting are better uses of my limited spare time. But, I fully intend to spend my retirement teaching my grandkids the importance of how to properly apex S-sections.

I'm 64 (turning 65 in 3 months), but I'm only level 17 so far. I use a wheel with a stand. I'd probably be further along if I didn't play golf 3 times a week IRL and compete in several online tours with Links 2003. Technology has made retirement an even better deal than it was before!

I'm 53, level 14. I'm just a casual gamer. My son got me hooked on video games with GT3, and the GT series remain my favorites. I've started many new careers on GT3, and still like that one the best, although I never had the patience or desire to finish it.

Go Old Guys!
