Trying to interject some actual game discussion amongst the complaints/suggestions threads...

Ever since the ballast option has been added, I've been adding my actual body weight to every car, since the weight in game doesn't take in to account a driver.

Anyone else do this, or any other little things to make the game their own?

That actually sounds like a fun idea.


Let's see if my fat ass can ruin a perfectly good car's balance. I'm going to try this with a really light car later. 💡

I like this thread because it's a fun idea for once instead of just complaining. I may give it a try.
 
That does sound like a neat idea.
Only problem is that I'm worried the game might start laughing at me, and have a window pop up saying:

Get your fat arse out of the car.
Go back to B-Spec, as you have weight clearance for that.

I like the idea. Makes a difference on motorcycles and should have the same effect in lightweight cars. I hope it does anyway. Thank you for the suggestion
 
This idea pleases me... I will implement it upon my return to this fantastic game.
 
I wonder how the go karts will feel?

You say the game doesn't account for your weight but its possible that it does add a generic amount, possibly. I mean PD doesnt tell us much about the detail about alot of things in the game. I'm not saying they do but its possible.
 
Nice idea, I like it, if only the game let you position the ballast in areas that realistically hold ballast then we could simulate the distribution of the drivers body mass and its effect on the car because the mass of a driver does have an effect on the performance of a car.

This would open up a few possibilities in terms of experimentation too.

Give you credit for this "positive" thread in a sea of B.S.

What I do when I am bored with the mundane racing, top gear track and just race normal consumer vehicles and see what times I can produce.
 
Wow, to be honest i didn't really know that driver weight was not included....suggestion to Kazunori yamauchi, update with a-spec driver profile, i.e add driver weight to cars :)

I'm gonna get the Honda Odyssey- stash the weight equivalent of 7 fat people in there! :lol: Probably doesn't go that high.

You shouldn't need to do that. I haven't checked for certain, but most games use a curb weight, which is the weight of the car with all fluids, a driver, and sometimes a small amount of cargo.
 
Yes you can (barring any injuries). 440lb is big, but not immobile. There are many exercise options for the extremely obese. :) I could go into detail, but that's really not the point of this thread.

And I was joking.
