i also started with the Bug

I started off with the Mazda Miata MX-5, with a few upgrades. It got me through the first few races, but as soon as won the Trueno I drove that, upgrading it quite a bit. I'm now racing with a hard-tuned Mustang, which is winning almost every race its eligible for. :cheeburga

I started with a "Brilliant Black" Mazda MX-5 Miata. it is now 384HP and tops at about 203MPH and wins all of the first races it qualifies for (a few amateur races)

I just started playing 3-4 weeks ago, but my favorite all around car now is the 22b-STi Subaru.

It was the Miata for me. Started not long ago, well, since I traded my xbox for a ps2. Ive been hooked ever since. I have a Celica SS II and working my way up.

You traded your Xbox for a PS2! I think that says something... :smilewink

Yikes.. that had to be hard! :p

I started out with the toyota vitz 1.5RS and bought the Subaru 22b, and finished all the rally races in the entire game! Needless to say, I was screwed when it came to driving on the road courses! :D

Hey, pretty new here. Interesting stuff. I started with the Miata. Got it with the Gold in licensing. I have completed the game once already and am doing it again! :) I have used the Miata LS to defeat quite a few races. The hardest, though, was the Spider/roadster race in the Professional level. Those TVR's are TOUGH! Also beat a handful of race cars at Laguna with it. Best way to approach the game, IMHO, is to get the gold in the first license. Now you have a 6 speed Miata with $10,000 to spend on it. Kinda feels like cheatin though. ;)

Hey, welcome to the boards!

Yeah, I've heard the best way to start the game to get all golds on the B license tests. I just don't have the patience, I guess. :p

BTW, you might have chosen to spell your screen name out. I looked at it quickly and thought it said "SPHYNCTR". :p j/k, I'm up late and everything's funny...

I go by SPYHNTR on another board, Omaha Racing. Guess I was just used to skipping the "u". Looked to edit name, did'nt see the option. Oh, well.

Have won the Shigeno Trueno. It is cool, but can only be tuned to 386 HP.
You can start the Game with the Esparante. But unless you are very good from the jump it will take a while to get it.
You "simply" have to place 1st in all the time trials in the Arcade mode. You will then find an Esparante in your Simulation Garage.
You can race it or sell it and then have 518,000 cr. to start with.
With that amount of "money" you can start with the all powerful Lancer Evo VI and tweek it to the Max. And you will still have plenty of cash left to play with.

I started with the MX-5 (miata or eunos roadster). i added a turbo and it won me quite a lot of races. did over 300km on it.
Got a mustang after that, got a top speed of over 300 when fully tuned. Got Zonda S then GT1 road car after that and then Polyphony 001 (PAL version).
