I'm finally back at the track, this time for the 992 Endurance Cup race at Spa.
Decided to rent a Sony FE 2.8 70-200 GM II for the day, and my god: it's such a hack.

Will you be there as a spectator or as a photographer? For me, it'll be the second time there as a photographer after 2024 - although this year, I'll be doing the full event... from thursday until saturday!

Decided to rent

and my god: it's such a hack.

I tried out a friend's 600mm f/4 and 800mm f/6.3 and holy crap they were so damn good.

That Affirm application is looking mighty appealing for now haha.

To be completely honest, renting the lens for each event is actually way cheaper for me, lol.
Each event I'd attend would see me pay around 50 bucks of renting fees, adding up to 300 - 350€ in total over a year. A used F2.8 70-200 GM II would set me back about 2000€.

But I absolutely get you, that financing option does indeed look tasty.

Thank you, It’s RAF Valley in north Wales and like most bases in the UK, it gets visitors from different bases all the time, I absolutely love it here.

I know it isn't for everyone, but I live near a major commercial airport (Gatwick) and work on a small airfield. The aircraft aren't as cool, but I love having aviation on my doorstep: to be near to an active RAF base is even better!

Looks like it is a good one for photographs as well.

Absolutely insane day at the Loop today, for the first time I actually lost count of how many passes we had, F-15’s, F-35’s, Hawks, Typhoons, Texans and a majestic A400M which I filmed instead of photographing 😀 so apologies in advance for the lengthy post

Covered the last round of the Belgian GT Endurance Championship today (Belcar) for Porsche:

I snipped these straight off of my latest Instagram post.
Last month I covered the GTWC round at the Nurburgring for Rinaldi Racing, but other than that I've been away from photography for a while. A much needed break I might add, to spend more time with my family.

Enjoyed my 19th trek to the Bathurst 1000 last weekend and took a couple of photos on Friday arvo/Saturday morning.

Ventured down to (and back up from) the elbow for the first time in around a decade. Worth the walk, but really need to pack a few drinks next year.
