Hi, what car is recommended for this ? Here is what I have in my garage, Lancer Evo VII RS(J) - 485 HP, Celica Rally car- 299HP.
I have 109,045 credits so i can buy a car

a ZZII sounds good. Out of the 2, I'm thinking the one with 485 hp. Depending on how good of a racer you are you might be able to go with the celica. I always have troubles running evenly with the comp. They always hit me if they brake too late or they brake too early and i hit them.

fully sup up ya lancer and go to setting depot and find some good settings. adjust ya VCD to 15 and you should be able to beat the competition. otherwise look in the prize car list to find a fast turbo car that you could win easily. eg a rally car do the ss wet backwards (dont need rally car to do it) and win a subura prototype and you should smoke them with that car.

How much money do you have left?

An RX-7 is a good Turbo car that you can buy pretty cheap. You could probably go win the Amateur American Championship pretty easily with your Lancer, then you can get the RX-7 Type RS from that. RX-7's are relatively light and can be upgraded to 687 HP.

If you're still having trouble, you could just do the Amateur Altezza race first. That's pretty easy to win if you just buy the Altezza RS200 and upgrade it a little. You can win the Altezza LM Race Car from the Amateur Altezza race, which is a 600 HP turbo that handles really well and can be upgraded to 1000 HP.

I just reran that series in an RX-7 RS with T4s, Turbo 1, and Race Intake/Exhaust. It was a good run.

got a altezza RS200 and tried the beginner once but couldn't win so never tried again so i will try tommorow and i won a lancer evo VII GSR i think i won it from beginner leuge

I found that the Supra is one of the best cars to modify. You can get up to approx. 983hp out of this car if you have the money. As you add to this car, be sure to get the right tires, suspension, etc. The higher you go in horsepower the more you will need to tune your gear ratio, spring rate, camber, bound, rebound, etc. You will know if you have a good set up from tuning if you tires wear evenly.

High Horsepower is not the way to go. The AI get a significant boost when they are loosing (in amateur sim mode).

My suggestion would be the Mustang with Stage 1 Turbo, racing suspension, racing transmission, and sports brakes. With the remainder, pick up tires. T3 or T4.

Brake early, and easy on the throttle. Remeber the AI will always stay close to your tail, you have to out drive them, which means staying off the walls, and on the track.

I find my friends also think that high HP is the only way to go. Having a generous amount of HP is great and all, but use it wisely. Jumping on the gas all the way while coming out of a turn in a high powered vehicle could result in losing control. I find slighty pushing down the buttons or the old tap technique I mastered on my old PS1 controller works well for accelerator/braking control.
