Amber light!?!?

Anyone else ever see lights inside the PS2 right around the controller ports? Mine just started emitting an amber color light today about 3 times in a 4 hr time frame.

Ya I noticed that too. When I looked through the little vents on the front of the PS2I would sometimes catch my PS2 flashing this orange light. Didn't really think to much of it because it only does it once every couple of days. But it only happens when I play GT4.

I don't have the hD installed.



So this sounds normaly then? I have never noticed it befor last night.

It happends to my friends i think its his online thing. It only started doing it after he got that.

I do have the NIC, but wouldn't that only like up if the cable is plug in?

This only occurs with the HDD I noticed after I installed my HDD , so your problem could be different.

I have the same or more precise a green led but it is from the Network Adapter I guess. In other games it isn't on.

I was looking at the light fashing on and off last night. well it seems like it not coming from the NIC.

I take it the HDD is only used for game saves generally?

It´s normal, this happens when you have a NA installed on your PS2. Mine does this too, but only started after I installed a NA on it.
