The decision not to go forward was made by President Bush - the generals wanted to.

Bush jr. cant even read a speech right.. Why do you think so many people make fun of him? Lots of people think hes an idiot for who he is and for what he does... I would have voted for Al.

You know, ultimately that's what ticks me off most about the whiny-punk international community. Today we're accused of rape and colonial aggression, because 12 years ago we did try to tread lightly and not throw our weight around. If we had just said to hell with it and steamrolled Saddam back then it would have been over and done with. Yet do we get any credit for having had that restraint? Hell, no.

But we didn't steamroll him; we tried to respect the international sovereignty of Iraq, and we tried to give them yet another chance. What did that get us? Here we are having to do it anyway, except 12 years later when it is 10x as difficult and 1/10th as popular.

Bah.
