*sigh* dont feel like reading 5,000+ replies, but has this thread turned into how american cars can only go fast in a straight-line, again? if so, i got 3 models;

viper, vette, cobra r- stock for stock, the big 3 here will pretty much cook any japanese car at the track- they excel in power and handling, period. now, when you start modding, its anyones game...

yeah i know, but its the same. domestic for america is import for other countrys, and vice versa- so it would still be a domestic vs. import battle :D
 
that said my current obsession is the Dodge SRT-4.

13 second quarter on street tires, 71 mph slalom speed, 225 whp and 250 lb ft of torque. In a neon. Very, very tuneable.

Mopar just made a one-off Prototype called the extreme lightweight, featuring their Stage 2 turbo upgrade, stoptech slotted rotors up front, stiffened suspension, completely gutted interior, carbon fiber doors and hood, lexan windows, roll cage and racing seat.

close to 400 whp on race gas.

somewhere around 320 whp on pump gas. (selectable switch that alters the fuel timing and boost maps.)

so how many people are actually satisfied with the amount of american cars that have been shown so far?
if you're not satisfied what other cars would you like to see?

i know i'd like to see some more muscle cars such as a '70 nova, '69 charger, '70 challenger, '71 road runner, a '71 duster, a '70 gran torino, and i'm sure i'm forgetting a lot of other greats
 
I couldn't possible list all the american cars I'd like to see but a 71 demon would be nice.(My parents bought one brand new but it was long gone by the time I was born in 87)

it eases the pain slightly.

The thing is, they don't feature all the cool special editions, just the different generations.

Unless they do like they did in GT2 with the race modifications that are meant to look like famous racecars. That would be welcome.

they're different generations, not variances.. they're not gonna put the lingenfelter 427tt vette(800hp\866tq), lingenfelter 427 z06(500hp\530tq), vette 650tt(650hp\600tq), mallet 435 vette(435hp\450tq)..

as for vipers; lingenfelter viper 540(725hp\740tq), hennessey venom 1000tt(1100hp\1150tq), and the rest of the hennesseys.

basically, generation and varietys are 2 different things.

yeah you're right, but all we american car fans can do now is take what we can get. oh, and i thought they were having the old Z 06 in as well as just the coupe, but i don't know
 
Alright! Looks like we're gonna get a good dose of muscle cars after all.

two Chargers, Superbird, 350-R. We might have more then in GT2, and i was well satisfied with the amount in that game.

I'm totally hyped now. After seeing these cars added to the confirmed pile, I just can't wait to get my hands on the game. It's killing me.
 
I'm still kind of confused as to why PD didn't do just a *tad* more work and update the Z06 to 2002 Spec. C'mon guys, it would take hardly anything ;).

Overall, I'm getting more and more excited about the muscle cars. I was never too interested in GT2, but since then, I've grown to appreciate them more. I think whipping some of them around the Ring is an absolute must.

I'd rather be pounding them around Sears point or road america, personally.
 
Damn it, I forgot all about Sears Point. Was a joy on the PC.

Okay, so now, I'll have to drive them on two tracks ;).
 
i really hope one of the '69 Camaros is an RS.

keep the Z/28 regular, but then make the SS also an RS to make the ultimate RS/SS.

anyone agree?

even better, but we know that the SS and Z/28 are in.

it would be nice if the looked different too besides just the badges.
 
do you guys think the '70 Charger will have a 440 six pack or the 440 magnum engine?
