I thought I saw a Hemi-Cuda on the official GT4 site... I will try and find it.

Edit - It's a purple '71 440 six pac Cuda.

Very very very disapointed in what I'm seeing right now. I realize there might be quite a few cars yet to be discovered, but at this point they really let me down in the Ford department. :grumpy:
 
yeah, no old Fords at all. That really is a shame.

Ford has lots of good old ones too.
 
Yes, but we won't know what all cars are in the game until we play it for ourselves. If the American release is next year, they still have time to add one or two more cars. In GT3 half of the cars aren't even in the dealership, so you never know what cars can only be unlocked by winning certain events.

I agree with you completely, but havn't we discovered over 600+ already? I find it odd that almost all the Fords would be held "secret" till later on, while other manufacturers at least get a little taste of things. It worries me, as I was really looking forward to many of the cool Fords that have (thus far) been left out.

On a side note, is it possible the American version would have different cars in it than the Asian version? I would think they'd all have the same ones. Has it ever been different in the past?
 
I was really suprised that there weren't more Mustangs; and I though for sure they would put a Fairlane or Torino in the game. Oh well, I'm happy with the Plymouth and Dodge cars. We can't complain though, at least we actually have more American cars. In my opinion there are way too many of the same import cars. Who needs 7 or 8 of the same Skylines!? Then again, this is the ultimate driving simulator, so the more cars the better.

I agree with you to a point. I just can't imagine why they would leave out "major player" vehicles in exchange for repetative versions over and over (using your example, have you actually seen how many skylines and NSX's are already confirmed in the game??).

I could understand better if it was simply that "American cars arn't that popular to the rest of the world", but the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is in there twice (SS and 350)! Same year and everything. There's also a ton of Corvettes, so that blows the "disinterested world" theory out of the water.

I thouht it was stated that all the cars from past GT games were going to be included, plus new ones. If that's true, isn't that proof that we're already missing a few Mustangs? I believe the was a 96 Cobra (and perhaps a 99 as well? It's been a long time). Also, wasn't there some older mustangs (non-shelby) that were in GT2 that we havn't seen confirmed yet?
 
I don't think there were any older Ford Mustangs in GT2.
We are still missing the GT500 from GT2.

I may just be thinking of the Shelby's then. Still, that leaves 3 to be discovered somewhere, right?
 
Let's hope so. They had the GT models of the Mustangs in GT2 also, but the Cobra ones are all that really matter.

Are you happy with the change or would you of rather had the Grand Sport in the game instead? Or both?

I would rather have the Grand Sport in. I know it's not as fast, but it has that cool stripe and i can tune it too drive as well. I can't add that stripe.
 
yeah the Grand Sport is one Awsome looking car (I'm going to try to stick some wheels like it on the ZR-1) but overall Im glad they Put the ZR-1 In, its a cool car none the less, plus, the name just sounds so awsome to say.

Well, I really thought the GS would be one of those cars that would make it into all 4 games. I really think adding both would have been better, but if I had to choose, the GS.
 
that's true.

They did have both of those Corvettes in GT2 though. As well as a lot more.

Come to think of it they had a lot of Corvettes in GT2.

They didn't have the C1, but they did put in an 80's one. I'm glad they swicthed that out for the C1 in GT4.

No, both the ZR-1 and the Grand Sport are in the game.

In fact they have at least one representative for each generation of Corvette (C1, C2, C3, C4, and C5 for a total of eight Corvettes. Too early for C6 I guess...)
 
really? so the GS AND ZR-1 are in the game? thats fantastic! I havent seen any pics of it or anything though
 
The Grand Sport was in the game, but the last time i checked the list it was dropped and the ZR-1 was in it's place. I could be wrong, but I could of sworn that's what happened.

If a car is going to have a different performance level, either through hp, weight, or any combination thereof, then I think it should be included. If it's going to drive the same but wear a different shell then I don't care about it. That's what bothers me about a lot of the repetative japanese cars. They have the same specs. That's a waste because they arn't going to drive/perform any differently.
 
To be honest, I never really liked the ZR-1 Corvettes. My favorites are the 1950s Vettes, the lovely Sting Ray, the C5, and the modern ZO6. While the newest model packs some serious horsepower, its looks are a turnoff to me. Then, I have mixed reactions about those looks, however.

Like I said, I'm remained optimistic about American cars in GT4. I wasn't picky about domestic machinery (in my case, America), so whatever was in the game in whatever fashion, I'll take it. I don't expect everything to be perfect because all I've cared about was the action and the excitement. If you ask me, this is perhaps a more diverse collection of American cars than in past GTs. The big factor is the inclusion of trucks. The SSR should be a nice machine to race. The American machine I'd like to take to the track is the Saleen S7. If you don't think it screams "push me to the limit and see if I don't break," then look elsewhere. Okay, so the S7 isn't an Enzo, but it is perhaps the meanest modern supercar out of America. It's not a muscle car. Heck, I remember people saying that it was a Mustang!

Cadillac's Cien is probably the only Cadillac in the game. Since the new changes in styling I've REALLY never been a Caddy fan. Only modern Cadillac I like is that Northstar LMP racer. The CTS-V would have been nice, especially its racing variant from Speed GT. Other than that, are you satisfied with the American concent in GT4?

You're right, the're (pretty much) the way to go in a strait line...... But when it comes to corners, i'd better have a WRX STi or NSX.....:trouble:

American Muscle Cars really weren't meant for twisties... Asking a 90K car or a 33K AWD car to race American Muscle Cars on a track is kinda like asking a fish race a turtle on land :lol:

"Cornering" really isn't the science that most people make it out to be... Light Car + Big Tires = A great deal of what you need to corner well.

people make G machines out of their muscle anyway. Tuning opens a world of possibilities. Like you said, apply big sticky tires, a sorted suspension, good consistent brakes, and a weight loss regimen and you have a track monster (and you get to keep the V8 rumble!). Ever hear of Trans am?
