This will not happen for sure. I was too very disappointed about the american car lineup and the European one too. Altough they are way better than GT3 was, they are still underwhelming. I think PD needs to hire car history specialists to counsel them about the US an Euro cars they should include to correctly represent it versus Japanese cars. And to hell all of those who say "What do you expect from a Japanese developer, it's normal" IT IS NOT. Sorry, but Forza, altough produced in USA by American people, is balanced and not biased towards Ford, Chrysler and GM as is PD with Nissan, Toyota and Honda. 3 Fiat 500 WTF? Include more M5 gens, more Marcos, mor Benzos,etc. We have Japanese cars that just came out of the factory but no

-Firebirds
-C6 Corvette
-Chrysler 300C and C-300 1955
-Cavalier (Not worse than a Civic)
-CTS-V
-XLR
-SVT Focus
-Saturn Ion Red line

Plus many Japanese USDM cars like:

-Sentra SE-R Spec-V
-Mazdaspeed Miata
-Mazdaspeed Protégé etc

So the bottom line is: They don't care about something else than their locals.

The fake list would've been awsome, I havent thouroughly looked over it but it seemed fairly balanced, I dont think it had any Buick's though (that was a nice add on PD's part) the GSX would've been fantastic though as would a 69 Judge

Tan there is a GT350 (doesnt look like one though..) and supposibly a Boss 429 but I havent seen any pics of it, its on the car list though

The GT350 is in there, but the Boss 429 isn't... The Cobra 427 is though, so I guess I'll forgive Sony :P

I would have Considered cutting them a Break if they had Added the Shelby Concept, It seems that the US doesnt have any Concept Cars (except maybe the concept viper if its in again); The Mustang GTR and GTO Concept would've been awsome adds, as would the Shelby Concept (the thing looks so increadible)

I was playing Gran Turismo 3 today, and was talking to my friend about the Lack of American Cars, He went over to the Japaneese List to look for one and saw all the Nissans; Toyata's Etc, Then he told me "After looking at this We should've Been expecting it" I never really noticed how the list in GT3 Is Rediculous, So maybe Considering how much there is in GT4 its a blessing in Itself, But for me, I Dont think im going to be even looking at the GT4 Used Car list
 
Kinda really sucks that there are no Firebirds or Trans Ams in this game. I know I'm reviving an old thread, but I would really like to see this car in the game. Is it confirmed that it isn't in the game? I've read a few lists, but I'm not sure if they are 100%. Why wouldn't they add it, it is apart of American history with the battle between the Stangs and Maro's + Birds. I'm disappointed, I really was looking forward to driving my own car in the game. Tell me she isn't sexy...

IMO she isn't sexy, sorry but not my cup of tea but I know why people like them. However I have to agree that at least one shouldve made it into the game.

The entire purpose of the thread is to discuss american cars, and ones people would like to see or are glad to see included in GT4. Whining, or strongly voicing opinions (sort of what you just did with your arrogant "thread should die" statement) is bound to get thrown into the mix.

True. However, it went from discussing American cars, to "oh man why isnt the Chevrolet Celebrity in this game THIS IS A HORRIBLE CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!", which we have seen in how many other threads? I understand that some people are upset or sore that their car didnt make it into the game(I drive an Oldsmobile, I know this feeling) but griping about it in every fricken American anything thread has become stale. I realize that technically I am griping about griping, but c'mon, someone has to do it.:D

okay, I see what you mean. but the death penalty isn't warranted.
 
Add the Firebird?? C'mon! Don't be silly. It has personality and Character. That's an automatic Veto. The GT series is only interested in cars that look like boring 4 door sedans or cars Americans use as beaters when it snows. Puff Puff Pass...
 
With all the talk about Trans Ams lately im surprised nobody mentioned the 1989 Turbo Trans Am. Yeah it was only rated at “250” hp, but even with a 4-speed auto its just as fast as a 2003 WS6 6-speed with 330 hp.

Just incase anyone didn’t know yet, the newer moslers and saleens get forced induction.
 
The thing I hate about the American cars in the game (especially the chevelle SS) is that they have HUGE power and crap traction. driving the SS at the ring, its so easy to light up the wheel (they are all single spinners sadly) and you'll get wheelspin right through 2nd gear and sometimes into 3rd. And there are only 4 gears (which is realistic but sucks).

Due to sucky tires and tons of torque. You can always buy better tires and a transmission can't you?

And if you want wheel spin, the Cobra GT gets wheelspin in 75 percent of its entire gearing (1st 2nd and 3rd). You can get sticky tyers but that ruins it as there isnt any snap oversteer etc.

That's the fun part about it and if you can handle it, that shows that you are an excellent driver.

Yeah, most of the bigblock powered ones will roast the tires off, especially if they come with bias ply tires(I doubt they do.)
 
Hello every one, New to site. Im like the rest of you, Waiting for GT4 to hit US.
Its been a long wait so far! Anyway, I saw this thread about American Cars and had to reply. I like a lot of cars from all over the world. But American Muscle Cars have always been my favorite. I especially like cars from the mid 50s, to early 70s.
I know there a lot of cars faster, and handle a lot better now. But there is just something about a good ole American V8 that gets to me.
Im happy to see GT4 finally putting some of the older Muscle Cars in the game. To me, Gran Turismo gets better with every game. I just hope in future games, they will keep adding a few more American Muscle.
For those of you that are Car Crazy like me, Im looking forward to hearing from you.

Lol, okay fine, it's not ricer, it IS cool but you never know people might think I'm on crack by thinking it looks cool. IT DOES. Especially in real life.

I would never call a Mustang ricer, I mean, well that's a negative term, and I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE Mustang fanboy.
