Fandamntastic. I can't wait to see females on growth hormones with deep raspy voices. Mmm.

But seriously, I enjoyed the show when I was a younger kid.

+1 I actually rather enjoyed it as well--it was real fun to watch the professional atheletes compete. I just hope they bring back the orignal theme song.

They were hot, man.

I'm still disappointed that Nitro never ripped anyone's head off, though. I hope he comes back as an announcer or something.👍

Please, NBC, don't **** it up. I know you're so tempted though, but just don't, ok?

 I guess The Hulkster is part of it because well lets face it he's gotta pay for his dumbass kid and wife.

They're bringing back the Australian season too. I enjoyed it back in the day, but now I feel as if it will just turn out to be horrible.

Oooo i wanna see a return of the UK Gladiators too then! Failing that, they better air the american version on UK TV.

I'm assuming nobody saw this and it got cancelled. xD

I saw the first 5min. of Mr. Streiods talking along with some gay from Berkley and quickly changed it.

1. Hulk Hogan no longer uses steroids.

2. Talk is cheap. I'd like to see how you do on American Gladiators. In fact, I'd love to go up against trolls like you.

Watched it last night. Corny, hokey, just like the original. I enjoyed it but I'm not sure I could handle it on a regular basis.

In fact, he headed the group that left the WWF and reported that Vince McMahon forced them to use them. He supposedly hasn't used them since.

I was the same way. It was fun to watch when nothing else was on, but I wouldn't watch it regularly.

Although I did notice platforms, like in jousting, were smaller and they now have big pools of water to fall into instead of just on big cushions. I also noticed that the men and women didn't always do the exact same events, which kind of removed some of the monotony of watching the same thing four times in a row.

By the way, what was up with that Big Country guy that was competing last night? I can't remember everything he said, but I do remember one about how it was just like pig wrestling at the fair and another about how it reminded him of running from his momma when she was chasing him with the belt.

The guy was hamming it up bigtime. I'm not sure if he got a kickback for that or what, but he was definitely over the top. It was also really strange how he waited for the other guy to catch him on the final round and lost by a second. That seemed a little staged, but who knows.

I think they've got some work to do on that final challenge. It appeared to me that for about half of it it was faster to fall off and give up than it was to actually do the task.

Well, he was from Tennessee. Sadly, being from Kentucky I know people that actually act like that, so I am unsure if he was faking it or not. Although, everyone seems to be almost too cheery. I could almost imagine MXC style voice overs for every interview and the Yeah! Go! stuff wouldn't have had to be voiced over, because they already fit.

Both guys seemed completely exhausted by that point, definitely not gladiator material. It's sad when the losing woman who couldn't break 10 points the whole show does better.

Unless you could actually do the hand bike that was always the case, except they used to have the giant cushions and climbing through those to forever, while water can easily be navigated in and out of by anyone with basic swimming skills. The water looks cooler and has a better effect when people fall, but on the Eliminator you are correct that it makes some parts easier to just avoid.

Speaking of the water in Eliminator; why on the swimming under the fire part does everyone jump in feet first? It seems to me that if you dive headfirst the momentum of your jump could carry you under and through to the other side. Instead everyone jumped in feet first, wasted a second to orient and another to get heading in the right direction, not to mention how much time was wasted accelerating once they knew where to go.

I'm guessing they handed out signs etc. to the audience and gave them cues to hype it up. Either that or there were a lot of gladiator and contestant family members present.

I noticed. She was completely exhausted but didn't seem to have trouble with the treadmill. But maybe she cheated since she'd already lost and hulk was doing the interview by then.

That's where "Big Country" lost. He needed to drop off of that bike much earlier. He wouldn't have been so exhausted at the end if he'd done that.

I wonder if the folks running the show instructed them to do that for safety.

I'm thinking that is the case, but considering the nature of the show and how many events involve free falling into the water after getting the crap beat out of you buy a gladiator it just seems a bit ironic.

Now in this event the gladiator will attempt to bludgeon you to death and knock you in the water, 15 feet below.

Now, you climb a wall while a gladiator chases you and tries to throw you down, as much as 40 feet, into the water.

Swing on these rings in the ceiling of the arena while a gladiator attempts to knock you down into the water.

Grapple with this gladiator on a swinging and rocking platform attempting to toss each other into the water.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT DIVE INTO THE WATER!!! You might get hurt.

What about the 100mph tennis balls?

Speaking of:
For the record, Assault is only cool when the competitors get at least halfway through.

I thought it was corny, over done and hilarious. But man is it better then pretty much anything else on Monday night (especially during the writer's strike).

They don't want contenders diving headfirst into the pool in Eliminator because of the fire and the metal piping used for the fire! Remember that someone already injured herself on that metal piping!

You mean the WCW/NWO? That was awesome! I forget all who was in there besides Hogan, though.
You changed my quote to WWe but it was WWF at the time. WWE was when he returned because WWF bought WCW.

But he and a group of WWF wrestlers left WWF due to the steroids issue and joined WCW where he became Hollywood Hogan because WWF had the rights to the Hulk Hogan name.

I don't know if the NWO members were all former WWF people or not because that all went down after I quit watching wrasslin'.

My family watched it on both nights. It was fun to see my eight and nine year old watch and laugh at it. My kids love Ninja warrior so this was right up there alley. It also took me way back to some good old days. It's not too bad so far and I think that the Hulkster was a great choice for hosting this show.

Amen brother....what cha gonna do when the HULKSTER comes for you!

So, can he refer to peopel as a fan of something without calling them [title]maniacs?

His fans are hulkamaniacs and I heard him turn to the crowd and call them gladiatormaniacs.

Ah well, he owns the rights to his persona now so he can use it when and how he wishes I guess. Honestly though, I prefer the Hogan Knows Best persona.
