Can we just get rid of Ace and Bucky and be done with it already? Which ever of those two survives this week will get voted off next week anyway.

Agreed they both don't sing well in my opinion. But what do I know, I can't sing for beans.

After last night's show, I think Ace, and Bucky will be in the bottom three. I really liked Kelly's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, and that's big because I usually find her performances to be boring.

Chris Daughtry, who should have shone last night, picked a crap song and was thus crappy himself. I thought Paris brought it home last night. She rocked.

Darn the time diff again!

Let's hope that bottom three = elimination for one of them this time... :indiff: ...I'm getting sick of seeing Bucky and Ace butcher perfectly good songs... but as I've said, Ace seems to be on the up recently, so it might not be possible to boot him yet.

but as I've said, Ace seems to be on the up recently, so it might not be possible to boot him yet.
Oh yes it is. His performance last night was by far the worst of the group. First of all, "We Will Rock You" is not really a song you can sing; it's a stadium anthem. Secondly, Freddie Mercury is the only reason that song worked in the first place. I admire Ace for trying to jazz it up a bit, but the whole performance was just lame.

I'm glad Buckey went home, now Ace needs to leave.

Damn the time differential, again!

After seeing that performance, I'm surprised Ace didn't get the boot.

Bucky has deserved it for a long time. He was disappointing even in the Country episode.

You guys are right... Ace's performance was the worst of the night... though there was probably half a second of brilliance hidden in that number, bordered by a minute and a half of pure desperation.

It was another night for slim pickings.

You know, I almost watched AI for the second time, ever, last night because Queen was performing, but I just got impatient with it all and just watched something else.

That's too bad. It's probably not going to be that good to you anyway if you haven't watched it from the beginning of the season. If I weren't attached to some of the contestants, I wouldn't be watching it at all. But I happened to start at the second episode this year and I haven't missed one since.

Whoa I wasn't expecting the bottom 2 to be Ace and Chris, but then again I think most of the show is rigged for entertainment value. But I'm glad Ace is gone, I haven't liked him thus far.

Anyone else think Kellie has been working out or something lately? That girl has been getting hotter as the weeks go on, atleast body wise. Love the dress she wore tuesday...so hot...so, so hot.

Yay, that loser Ace is gone. I hate him. He rode his "looks" thus far in the competition; I'm glad that america finally woke up and smelled the coffee. He stinks.

Katherine McPhee is fantastic, though. I would like to see Kat and Elliot as the two finalists. They have the best voices on the show by far, and Kat is very beautiful, to be honest.

Chris, not really... I didn't catch his performance... seemed okay. Maybe people aren't digging his soft, sensitive side? (Though I kind of like it when he sings instead of screams).

Paris hasn't been showing anything new lately, and her limits are starting to show. I would have thought she'd be off before Mandisa (truly wasn't expecting that one... bottom half performance, but not bottom period!).

Amazing, Kelly flubs her timing completely, but sounds and looks so good, she still squeaks through. Katharine also had a little timing mishap, but she has such terrific stage presence, none of the judges even commented on it.

Now that my fiesty Mink is gone, i'm never watching this season of American Idol again. 👎

Unless my girlfriend makes me, but that doesn't mean i'll like it. :grumpy:

Kellie Pickler down. Finally.

Next week will be Mr. Hicks, after that, Paris, and Katherine will win it.

Yeah, top 3 will be baldy, Elliot, and Katherine.

Paris is chronically flat, from what I've heard of her on the shows I've seen. She's just a kid. Katherine is by far the best on the show, with Elliot being in a distant second.

I'm not trying to discredit anybody, but I don't think that matters when Katherine is in the game, honestly. Hopefully, America isn't that stupid.

She's been in the bottom three before...she's not really that great, in my opinion. Sometimes she sings forgettable crap like the rest of them.

Yeah, true. She has stepped up, though.

I agree. I liked her instantly from her audition and through the elimination rounds, but I'd say about the 2nd Top 12 show she started to bore me. I thought she would win the whole thing initially, and it looks like she just may...

I don't like Paris at all, she's to young and doesn't have that big voice. I like Katherine and I like Chris but past that I'm not a big fan of anyone else. Although Taylor will probably win because America loves him, but I don't think he's all that great.

Paris is gone next week unless she steps up, but I doubt it. She has a tendency to oversing everything, and really doesn't have a handle on soft and slow passages. Another few years of experience might see her in the top three... but fifth is probably as far as she will go.

Taylor, Katharine and Elliot will have to play the consistency game after Paris is gone to fight for top three positions.

Taylor has a big fan base. He should have been eliminated during the "country" episode (when Mandisa was), but he wasn't even bottom three. I do like the guy, though. When he's on his game, he makes my hair stand on end. There are flashes of brilliance there every now and then. But I haven't seen that in the past few episodes. He's got a problem singing songs outside his comfort zone. His clarity is also sometimes in question (might just be my ears, though...).

Elliot is very talented, flexible and smooth. Great projection and diction. His only weaknesses are song choice (mostly show-off-your-range songs, but not always knock-your-socks-off songs) and a lower volume range than the other singers (subjectively... he can't sing loud songs). He can go all the way on the right songs.

Chris is incredible. I didn't like him a few episodes ago, because he seemed so one dimensional. But when he's asked to sing, he can sing. He could win if he doesn't mess up. His one problem, as I see it, is connecting with the audience... something that Katharine does so much better.

Katharine isn't the strongest singer, but she's sexy, charming and incredibly confident (I'd say overconfident, but she can actually sing). Her problem has been consistency. Thing is, even when her singing isn't at its best, she can connect. If she stays consistent, she will win. One slip, though, and she's out. She didn't mess up that badly when America put her in the bottom three, so she really has to watch it.

Taylor needs to go. If Taylor is not eliminated in the next two weeks, I will have lost all hope in America.
