My power cut out. I'm sorry. I had a comfortable lead. I know Yeratel was trying to close up on me in his R8, but I was just pacing myself to not run my tires out before I pit. Sucks as I had a big lead when my power got cut off. Oh well, at least it's just preseason.

Like I said after the race, I ruined my chances the moment I tried to do an extra lap on my 2nd stint. From the start I was aiming at a 3-stop strategy, but I should have swapped to Racing Mediums on my 1st stop.
That being said, it was unfortunate you got disconnected.

I ruined my race because I had really worn tires, pressed start entering the pits to hope the AI driver wouldn't spin entering them, what does he do? He veers out in front of the pit wall onto the grass, spinning me off onto the track, so I miss the pits, have to drive backwards to get to them, my whole race plan. Race over.

I didn't know we could change tires, the op said softs only I thought? No wonder I had to pit 5 times! How does the tire stradegy work are 2 compounds available at any giving moment, or do we have to start on softs?

In my ICGTC league we can use the softs only once, and all the other stints have to be on meds.

Someone asked about the tires before we started, and gtamann said that it was unrestricted. I interpreted as such, given the fact that there was no information regarding tire restriction on OP.
I even wondered about starting with Racing Mediums, but then decided to see how things panned out.

Look under room setting page 1. Tire restrictions racing soft, racing medium, and racing hard tires. Good race last night guys. So the real indy race during the season will be 60 laps? 1.5 hours right?

I'm pretty sure Softs will be fastest all around, because the time you lose on laptimes can't be made up for by not pitting once.

You guys can run any tire compound you want at any time, its just been proven on this game that theres no real advantage to using M or H racing tires because they dont last long enough to make up for the slower times you run. However if you're a lap or two short on your pit window at the end of a race it might make sense to use them so you dont have to pit on the last lap.

Which is what I've done in order to pit 3 times against Joe's 5 stops.

So how many pre-season races are we gonna do? Also where are we racing next Friday? I guess im gonna switch back to my Vette for the next race and keep it that way.

We're gonna have two more, unless you guys want to start the season off now. The next track should be Nur GP.

How many laps, and what are the allowable tire selections through the entire race?

An hour, at most. The tire compounds allowed is Hards, Mediums, and Softs in Racing category.

Man that was fast! I was going to edited what I said about the tire choices after reading previous treads but no need now, lol! 👍

Yeah, I had a bit of competition pertaining to Tree'ing from time and time, and grew accustomed to the standards :p

I think I'll try the M3 next race. :scared:

We should have F1 style Testing practices in preseason.

Do we still allow the Speed 8?

Its on the list. We need to start updating the front page with driver sign ups so we can keep track whos doing what. Nice to see another LMP driver, so far it looks like we should have an even number of GT and LMP.

I thought it was too good or something. Then again, we have the '05 Audi R8. Pshhhh, 1-2 finish.

I'm in the Bentley. Good car but the sound sucks.

Yes another LMP'er! It would be nice to get up to 6 or 8 prototypes'

There's already two Speed 8's being used. So partyhat has to use another car. I was able to go 8 or 9 laps on softs. My slowest lap times were in the 1:23's and 1:24's. The Bentley is pretty good, but I think the GT-One is faster if you can find a good setup. I just can't lap faster in it than the Bentley. The 908 is really good too. And the R8's are the best on tighter tracks I think.

any more spaces in here, was looking around for a GT series and i found one, i was also looking for a LMP series and i found that! looks incredible!

Edit: just worked out that timezones would put me outa this, sorry

Hey GT guys, how do you keep those RUF's equal? We are trying to get them in he Rolex series by the owner says that it wouldn't be fair because the RGT doesn't have downforce like the other cars. Can you help out? Do you jus adjust the brake balance?
