Your gonna run the V12 vantage to

No but i do like the car, a lot. It would be my 2nd choice for sure, i just want someone else to test it and give some input, otherwise id just be setting the car up for me to have the advantage.

Edit: Also i came up with an idea for the standings, instead of making a google document or an excel sheet, im gonna make a weekly video that will show the results of that weeks race, overall standings for GT and LMP, fastest lap times, manufacture points and maybe some other things. Im really good with Sony Vegas :)

Try 540hp 1362kg, ive been using 550hp but i think its too much. I wish i had someone else to help me test it, otherwise im gonna pick whatever hp i want and destroy you all lol.

I still don't see why you're bothering with it.
If you don't absolutely LOVE it right now, you'll end up hating it by the end of the season.
It's a long season. Choose wisely.
I personally don't approve of it being in the series at all. (Not an ALMS car)
But since you did so much work on it, I'll let it slide.

No Mitch, if you're reading this, you can't spend hours homologating an MP4 and go ahead and use it.

Well for the record, im not using it. And i was under the assumption it was ok to use it since there is an Aston in the ALMS lineup this year. If you want to remove it thats fine, i just wanted some more diversity in car choices.

Uh I'm sticking with the 908 if anyone cares. Need more LMP drivers.

i go for you guys need, or lmp with R8 or gt with Viper

So i was thinking everyone make your mind up by this Friday what car you want to drive, if there are conflicts then seniority rules obviously. We'll have one more pre-season before the real races start. At the end of next week we compile the full list of driver/car and go with that heading into the season? Plus i need the info so i can start working on the layout of the standings. As it sits right now we have about 14 active drivers i think?

I agree with this.
Mostly because I won't be able to make any races this weekend. :dopey:

Yes, they are 14 active drivers, consisting of only one crew. However do not compile the standings just yet.

I'm kind of torn between running the Evora and running in LMP. I guess I'll go where there is more need. But I would like some competition if I'm going to run LMP.

Well, GT is a slower battle, and LMP is a test of who's alien fast.

You're saying there's not enough LMPs, so you're leaving, making less LMPs? :boggled:

That is true, but if no one else shows up Friday then I'll be the last one to leave LMP. I'm sure you guys will agree there's no sense on racing the LMP Class by myself (or with maybe 1 casuel floater). If there is 1 more pre-season I'll see who shows up again, but if everyone is a no show then sign me up for the BMW chassis. 👍

Just waiting for internet to be fixed at my place (at a friend's right now). Once that happens I'm all in as usual. We need LMP drivers. Should be like half and half.

I think if pipi and a couple others stay LMP you guys should have a pretty full grid.

Sorry about being somewhat hypocritical switching over to GT myself.
Mitch made another Beetle joke and said that he could kick my butt any day with his 458.
That and THAT GUY has nearly perfected the tune for the RUF.
A couple tweaks I'm gonna make, but nothing more. :sly:

I'm considering,

Corvette - If not taken

Or

Ferrari, of course.

Havent been to any of the preseason races. But the other Vette is being driven by me. :)

Good deal, it will be nice to have a teammate to compare setups with.

I'll go LMP if there's at least 3 or 4 other guys running it. But I don't want to run it that much because I'm so used to it that I'm usually not really challenged. Yeratel was pretty quick and Pipi is decent as well. But besides them the new guys to LMP aren't going to be much competition. That's why GT kinda appeals to me because the guys there are a challenge since they've been running it for so long. I guess we'll see what happens. It's not just the Bentley being a good car either. Because I could run the 908 and be as good with that. Same with the Audi.

Yea I'm as rookie as it gets in the LMP's

I wasn't trying to come off like I'm the best. I'm saying that last season I was the only LMP1 guy for most of the races. I even went to running LMP2's for 2 rounds because there was people in those cars and not P1.

Thanks man.

If i actually had an LMP id at least try to drive it. I imagine its somewhat similar to driving F1 where you have to pay a lot of attention to throttle control on corner exit.

The 908 is surprisingly easy to drive, even at full HP (which it wouldn't be in the series). Yes, a little throttle control but really not bad. I think the R10 is a torque sled that's just too unruly to reign in a lot of the time, plus it isn't altogether fast. But the 908 is quite enjoyable despite my bias against pug...

Seth, I'm coming after you if you stay in LMP! A lot more preparation for me this time around. Or if you want we can team up, and work on me achieving similar times to you through practice.

The Matmut was a good choice for livery. Very photogenic.

I'll probably stay in LMP. I just like a challenge and GT seems to be one, especially with every 'normal' car being taken.

Depends on which car you're able to use. I have a decent setup on most the LMP's though.

My internet remains inept. However, in practice with the settings similar to online I got a 1:53 at GP/F with the Matmut 908. Not sure how good that is, but I can feel room for improvement. Just need a little bit more stable tune, but it already feels really close without any tuning at all (just extra downforce).

Sucks that the tires disappear so fast on LMPs, though.

Pace was 1:50.

So is this another pre-season, or regular series round 1? (I think we need another pre-season)
If not what track?, and if yes we start at Daytona?

Once again, it's up to you guys. Though one more pre-season sounds good.

Daytona is a decent choice. Initially it was Laguna Seca but, it's decisive to the Independent.

@Cowboys: I don't feel so bad then, having spent little more than 20-30 laps in this car ever with no tuning.

I think I can reach pace this season I just need to spend a little more track time this time around..

Well whats the regular season schedule? The front page is so over blown, i cant tell what is what.

Yes this Friday is the last pre-season race, once you make your car selection after this Friday it becomes FINAL. So get a good idea of what you want. I guess everyone is in agreement with this? As for where we're racing, i dont care where just as long as its not a track thats coming early in the season.
