I also use the bumper cam. Bigger tv doesn't help with the cockpit view. You need 3 tvs, 3 playstations, and 3 copys of gt5. Too really get the full effect. Under the setting you can have 3 tvs running with 3 different views at the same time. So you can see all around you. Looks pretty sweet on youtube.com. Looks like real life.

You only need the 3 tvs. GT5 lets you set multi-screen view.

By the way, I use bumper view, mainly because of the rear view mirror, for tight pack racing. That and wheel buttons set to left and right view to keep track of cars around me.

That feature requires three copies of GT5 and 3 PS3s.
Why do my younger brothers keep interfering with the GTAcademy download!?!?!?!

With a bigger TV and the options to 'zoom' while in cockpit view, I think it'd turn out good. I wish I had the money for two more TV's, two more PS3's and two more GT5's. That'd be great.

You might as well build a sweet sim with a laptop hat can run Sim raceway, rFactor 2, and GTR3 :sly:

I use bumper cam for the serious races. Anything with the ai and Im using cockpit. Like tt13 said, I feel like Im faster with the bumper cam. I feel like I can hug the corners a little more. I run my best times with bumper cam also.

I don't have money for that. I wish I did, and I'm not too big on PC gaming. It's a new thing to me and I probably won't jump into that for a while. If I ever do.

True, but if you ever get the chance, PC Sims are the future of Sim racing. :sly:

That's been said for years. Thing is they're not nearly as popular as console racers. Hopefully we get more realistic games in the future. Maybe GT6 will be a more complete sim. We'll see.

Im about to hop on to do some practice in a little bit if anyone wants to join, ill be in my lounge.

Hopefully. rFactor 2 is going to be amazing though. It already is very too and it's just in the Beta stage.

Bumper cam here! 👍

I added another accel button on my ds3 just in case my trigger finger gets cramped'

I usually use the top of he car view.

It's extremely easy, it's not huge fun.

They say "Go to Gran-Turismo.com to claim this car in GT5" but when you do there's nothing there.

Plus it's a Leaf and a Silvia with a GT sticker.

I don't care, I just want to try to advance a bit through the rounds.

Which camera view does everyone use? Just curious, i use cockpit view even with standard cars.

I always use the bonnet cam. It can be pretty good for tight battles or nailing extra fine lines. But when I'm bored, I switch around and experiment :dopey:

I think only the last rounds count, which aren't up for 2 months. :guilty:

Storm, it seems you'll be the Bimmer-to-beat this week. I don't know WHAT's going on, but I am running 2:03s and spinning a lot now. You will probably be faster this week, unless you want to talk tunes...

Also, I got GT Academy 2012... shocking, that we ONLY GET TO PLAY TWO ROUNDS... ;(

Im consistently in the 2'01s, but im not liking the tire wear at all. I think the most i can get out of them is 7 or 8 laps, freakin GT5 tire update has ruined endurance racing. Doesnt give you any amount of time to stay on the track and get into a groove.

Yeah... I won't complain, I'll just state the facts. On softs I run 2:03s, and the softs last four laps. Yeah....... Why can't I make more BMW parts from carbon fiber?💡👍:):scared::ouch:

Suzuka is going to be a pain in the a**
I can't hook up for s**t

Lap times??

Anyways, I think I'll just try to get top 5 again @ Suzuka, and only push for the win at Monza, LE MANS, Spa and the 'Ring. And, have no doubt, I might be the slowest guy at the next three tracks.

I ALSO just noticed... THERE ARE TWELVE GT DRIVERS. No wonder the pace is somewhat quick-there's so much competition in GT class. I mean, the drivers points especially seem very tight..

This is a well-run series guys... I actually can't even wait to have my a** kicked on Friday. Woohoo!

I was thinking about GT as well, but I decided to stick with LMP since there was supposed to be more challengers. 3 guys racing in LMP kinda sucks but oh well.

Well, who knows what nitro's doing... grrrr... Also, it's not 3 LMP guys, it's six... three of whom missed Indy... If GT had that sort of attendance... =O I'd be bored too... So, yeah, I do somewhat agree. Thing is, I think people who would join see a big points deficit... Maybe more people would join if we figured out some sort of incentive... as it stands, I think the registry is scaring people away perhaps.. I'm not certain though.

Whats funny is when we started pre-season i was worried we didnt have enough GT drivers because everyone was running LMP. Now a lot of them have changed or just arent showing up. To only have 3 drivers this early in the season is not a good sign at all.

Well, I messaged an LMP friend of mine to see how his internet's working... I imagine I'll either get a "I can't continue" or a "My i-net's working and I will come." Either way, we win in the ALMS, no matter what he says.

Yeah, you're right. Sure miss being able to run 10 laps in La Sarthe in a 908.
In a portuguese championship we had a mid season endurance race in La Sarthe where we ran 40 laps with day/night cycle where we could choose either the 908 or the R10. Sure was awesome.

Anyone planning on running tonight? Ill be home in about an hour, gonna do some long stints to prepare for tomorrow.

Yeah I'll be on around 9pm est. Need to figure out how y'all are running 2.01's.
