Yeah... these fun races wouldn't be fun if I actually DID take someone off in that damned **** Pescarolo... I can't drive these LMPs, and rarely ever try to drive them online.

Doesn't bother me, waiting 'til the GT race begins. Bring on the challenge!

Even though I had a great LMP pace, I left Battling with Yera to catch Johan Santana throw the first no-hitter in Mets History.

Secondly, OMG that BMW sucks... After driving the Ferrari... Wow...

Thirdly, if I come back for season V, I'm taking the Ferrari.

Finally, I really hope that people remind Cowboys not to drive like a toddler. He kept cutting corners (EVERY LAP) to pass me, then he crashed me, and I got a little gap by hitting him back, so he spent the final three laps forgetting to brake. I don't care that it's not a race for points. I don't like being punted about like that egg-shaped thing you call a football.

Umm, no. You over shot your braking zone and went way wide, but decided to come back and shoot across the curbs to enter the pits while i stayed on the track and was trying to get in.
 
Yeah, I think everyone cut corners at some point. Im gonna blame not being used to the car. Plus a lot of people were taking risks that we wouldnt normally take. Next week its all back to business again.

What did you guys think about Norm? He's on my team for Mel's series. He says he's interested in joining full time.

You crashed me too, you actually wrecked yourself twice in those last 3 laps, I did use brakes however.

Although those 2 dive bomb things were just for this non-point race, and mostly getting this out it my system.

You gotta stop with that banging into people's doors and passing and crying when someone bumped you.

I didnt see a whole lot of Norm, but thats probably because im just an average driver...

FH, you were fast in that Viper.

Kevin, I won't mention the number of times that you moved to block me. I'll just say, that you made a mistake at Blanchimont. I passed you. Then, I thought "Kevin's not currently beside me. I can get into the pits." And I was wrong, so I apologized.

Did anyone else notice the M3s struggling even more than normal...?
 
Ehh I didnt like it too much. Front tires are giving up way to fast and I like to think that I'm good at conserving tires. I'll have to see if I can fix it in the tune.
 
But, you weren't horrible with tire wear... Remember in the Rolex series, Storm was talking about the front tire life on Vipers?? ^.^ I think it's a character trait...

Ahh man, I forgot to look at the outcome of the Laguna race. Ill do it first thing tomorrow, I promise.

I do know that blaze was 1st and I was 2nd. Dont know how were going to work that out.

Anyways, just let me run races, cowboys, without SOMEHOW bugging me please. I mean, Laguna Seca's behind us, and this race wasn't for points...
 
So FH was quick in the Viper? I'm not surprised. I am surprised about the tyre life being bad though. I'll have to do a stint around Sarthe with the ACR and scope this out. It can't be worse than the Viper SRT10 Coupé though, FH. 3-4 laps and poof! There goes the tyres!

I know Sarthe and Spa are two totally different tracks, but it'll be good to compare the old and new model for Rolex. I also know the specs are different, so tyre life may well be a little worse for the ALMS Viper.

OH, FH (and anyone else in the Viper), that rev limit... not very forgiving is it? So much as touch the redline and the car drops speed.
 
The car actually handles well. Lots of TQ and I can easily put all of it to the ground. The thing with this car is, just by listening to the motor, it sounds like it has so much more to give. And then BAM! you hit the rev limiter. I really have to let the rev's fall when I down shift or else the tach is bouncing all over the place.
 
It catches me out alot too, that rev limiter. You only need to leave it on the redline for a split second and the car takes a nose-dive in speed. And letting the revs fall is a lose/lose, coz if you don't the car bounces off that rev limit every downshift, causing the handling to be a bit funny, yet if you let it fall, AGAIN... you're losing time through a corner.
 
I use automatic, so hitting the rev limit isn't a problem for me in the Viper. It's weird because using an Auto you have to set the gears right so when you brake you have the car in the right gear for certain corners. I didn't even have the Lotus set up correctly for this yesterday. And front tire wear was pretty bad. But I was able to get 2:19's with it. When I was testing with the Viper I was only able to reach high 2:20 flats.

About the corner cutting, some people were cutting Eua Rogue to get passed people. I never cut it to gain speed, but only if my tires were very low I may have ran wide. I know a couple were saying I was cutting, but I don't think so. Especially not being used to the Lotus and all, with lower tires it was hard to get the turn in you wanted. Running in the LMP's though was fun. Last to first was pretty good. I know I got into you Hawaiian, didn't mean to. That braking zone into the final chicane is tricky especially with the draft. At least I gave you a boost through that corner though. Chasing Pipi at the end was rewarding because the BMW had a definite top speed advantage, but through the corners I could close up. I don't know what happened to him at the end though. I guess lap traffic caught him out there, which I was counting on to hold him back.

Nope. I can proudly say, though, that I passed *someone* at La Source, Turn one, lap one, without contact, in the LMPs. Then, I just gave up, because the traction control was being a bit... hyperactive.
 
So, GP/F is next huh. BMW looking to defend home turf. Unlike Ford and Chevy at Laguna. :(

GP/F is one of my favorite tracks though. 👍
 
Will try very hard to be back for GP/F. I feel at least I can be somewhat competitive here.

Me too, it's just been hairy these past few weeks (and it isn't going to get better--I start my graduate residency mid June). That's why I've been focusing more on rFactor, because I figure it's a better way to learn realistic physics and cut out bad habits that slow me down in GT5.

After hotlapping in rFactor I find myself surprisingly quicker on the Playstation. At the very least I'm safer and more efficient in traffic.

I know I'm out of contention but I still want to show up for a few more races for fun, if possible.
