What's your TV sitting on?
I just use the the table my TV sits on and pull a stool up to it.

Don't get anything to flimsy and make sure it isn't something that might slide around too much.

My TV is sitting on a dresser, so there isn't any spot to actually clamp it to. That is why I need a separate table to clamp the wheel onto.

I use this

Its no race chair. But it does the job well. Has locks on its wheels so it stays in place. Has room for the wheel and the H-shifter. Easy to move around when I have to switch from PS3 to the computer. And when I'm finished I just wheel it into its own little corner.

Does the G27 wheel have a lot of slip-angle like the cheaper models, or is it pretty accurate steering for this GT5 driving game?

What funny is that only 22 cars register for Saturday ELMS 6 hours at Paul Richard this weekend. Race is Sunday morning at 5am est. Ill find a link tomorrow for watching on the internet. If audi is there its tv.audi.com they will broadcast all of there races, even GT3 races.

What funny is that only 22 cars register for Saturday ELMS 6 hours at Paul Richard this weekend. Race is Sunday morning at 5am est. Ill find a link tomorrow for watching on the internet. If audi is there its tv.audi.com they will broadcast all of there races, even GT3 races.

Audi isn't doing the ELMS, they're doing the WEC. There isn't any LMP1 cars in ELMS.

Cape Ring yeah not crazy about it. Madrid and Indy i say are good courses for the series. I dont know Indy that well and would like to give it a go. Apparently it can be used for more than just silly drag races?

I was lucky. I got my DFGT before GT5 came out. I'd imagine it's a pretty difficult transition. You'll get it eventually. Start out with the FFB turned down. I'd also suggest learning to use the wheel by rallying (off road).

And Cowboys, I was thinking something more along the lines of ... perhaps the tank car?

Yeah theres an adjustment period for sure, especially if you've been using the controller for so long. I used a controller for the whole time Prologue was out and i found it hard to be consistent. With a wheel you can turn laps within a few tenths or even hundredths of each other once you get it down. Smooth turn ins are the key and you just cant do that with a controller.

I got that trophy in my first race as a matter of fact. The consistency one where you have to get three laps in a row within a tenth of each other or something like that.

I tried driving an F1 on Monaco, and was 10 seconds off from typical lap times. I tried driving something different on Nur, but I just could not pass the first few turns. FFB was on 1, and Power Assists on. Though I found the entire experience far more concise than a controller.

I feel you when it comes to Cape Ring. I haven't put in a serious 200 lap practice session for Indy yet, so I'm not sure where I stand with that track (maybe 👍, maybe 👎). Madrid is the bomb though plus we don't have that many good city course that leave enough room for actual side by side & over-taking racing on them; hence London & Monaco!

London has no pits. So that's out of the question. Unless you run no tire wear. Madrid is great, and I like Indy Road. I say we do Indy Road on Friday. 15 or 20 laps.
