I don't think I'll be able to. I promised myself to go to a state fair this Friday. But no one actually cares if I do show or not (it's different for the rivals :p).

Seriously though, I'm sure Gatrs can fit you in somewhere. The worst that could happen is that you'll be put on the reserve list, and reserves usually get to race in most races. 👍

I'm on the reserve list and the only reason I haven't raced in any races is because I joined late, and I couldn't make any races after that.

Actually, it is the students' day at the fair. Just a way to have students have fun. Everyone who attends school the day before will get a free ticket pass inside. Otherwise, it is 5 dollars.

They are usually held on Fridays. The room opens at 8:30 PM, Mixed Qualifying Begins at 8:45 PM, Race Starts at 9:00 PM. All times are EST (US & Canada GMT-5).

Problem is, there's nothing else to really talk about.
So from now on, keep rFactor discussion in the rFactor thread(s).
 
Well I've been playing gt5 for a couple of hours now and nothing has changed. Think it has got worse. Played Daytona speedway tried to pit and it made me drive through twice before they let me change my tires. Not speeding. Black screen on every race spa, monza, and Daytona but I dont think any one got kicked. Plus I think the tire wear is worse. Also there's something about sometimes not getting points or money for finishing races online. Ready to buy a computer now and join y'all.

So it seems that the pit bug isn't only localized to Nordschliefe. Hmmm. I've never run into this problem offline, so it seems to be an online thing. The black screen has yet to show up after the update for me. I haven't really tested it out thoroughly yet myself (tested it some, but not fully). I think we should run some tests here before any final decisions are made (i.e. splitting the field into separate rooms, it's just not fun that way).

my other league just split yesterday due to the ongoing connection problems of 12 or more. he's having us go into 2 divisions based on how fast you are. i really dont know how the game gets worse as time goes on, its supposed to be the other way around. i dont have a clue what PD is doing about it, and as a loyal GT player since the first one, im upset.

Just ordered my G27. :) The computer I want is out of stock online. Gonna see what the local stores have. Anyone have any idea if I can just pick up a computer at say, Walmart or Target and not have any issues with running the game? I know they should handle rFactor 1 fine. Its rFactor 2 I'm worried about.

Just make sure it at least meets not the minimum but the suggested requirements. Have you tried Newegg?
 
I built my PC from scratch with my brother for like $5-600. It will run most current games.
 
I think the only thing I have to worry about is the graphics card. But I'm not going to worry about upgrading until the time comes. The processor speed on the one I'm looking at is a 2.7. So its somewhere in the middle of minimum and recommended.
 
Make sure to at least get a quad core processor/decent motherboard/at least 4gb of memory and the rest can be upgraded later on. rFactor2 is still a few months away and thinghs will most likely change so is better to go with a decent setup and just wait and see what needs to be upgraded in the future.
 
If you go one or two gens back on your GPU you can save a bit of money and it's usually good enough unless you're hardcore and trying to play crysis2 or something that just obliterates everything.
 
I think my brake pedal is broken :(. It's only registering if I press down and give some kind of input from the wheel also. Good thing I have the G27 coming in soon. :)

NVM - somehow got it working again.

been really slacking on practice for tomorrows race, with the bug affecting both leagues im in its hard to stay motivated

There's already two drivers using the Italia. And I am one of them :p Or am I wrong, and more than two can drive one car?
