I'm thinking of doing a fresh install. I have a few backup installs left on my $40 payment. I'll just start from scratch and see how it goes. I'll make sure I have the most up-to-date stuff.

Go to CMS and tell them all your problems first.
You have two weeks to get it going.
 
i have ver 1.255, but my prob is my laptop is pretty basic so my graphic settings have to be less than desirable. good thing rfactor has great sounds/physics/tuning options to make up for it though. with the continued online problems on GT5 i might be focusing more attention to rfactor

As a small reminder patch 2.04 is out. The update info should in the GT5 forum.

It is almost Tuesday. You do live in FL, so we're both in the same time zone.


It's amazing how much speculation & hype is on one itty bitty patch. One thread is overloaded with members.
 
Haven't tested it yet, but apparently, the online issue has been fixed. Not sure if this is the case though, but it is listed in the changes.
 
God I hope so. Can add a few more members to the RUF series finally.
 
Ok, at least they are acknowledging the bug's existance now. Maybe they'll fix it in future updtes.

Patch notes now added:

A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:

- Improved the performance of online races to provide a better racing experience. However, please note that using voice chat by 12 or more players can reduce screen refresh intervals.

- Reduced wobbling of the screen when using the Chase view. (The Chase view is when the car is viewed from the rear during races and replays, selected by switching views using the SELECT button)

- Electric cars (opponent cars and your cars in B-Spec) will now pit-in automatically to recharge the battery.

- Reduced the amount of steering pull when using force feedback steering wheel controllers in banks of tracks such as the Special Stage Route X Oval.

- The initial force feedback of Logitech steering wheel controllers when driving formula cars, has been made milder, and was adjusted to make it easier to drive in a straight line.
Applicable controllers: Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel、G27 Racing Wheel, GT Force®Pro, GT Force®、Driving Force™, GT Force®RX and Driving Force Wireless
Applicable cars: Red Bull X2011, Red Bull X2010, Ferrari F10, Ferrari F2007, Formula Gran Turismo

[Correction of Known Issues]
- Fixed an issue where speedometer, position and/or best lap time is sometimes not displayed on the 2nd player side of the 2P Split Screen.
- Fixed an issue where exhaust noise is heard even after changing from a combustion engine car to an electric car in the same online race.
- Fixed an issue where if the game is started without signing in online and then saved, the cars and tracks included in the Racing Car Pack and Course Pack would become unusable.
- Fixed an issue where electric cars would not recharge in the pit and become immobile.
- Fixed an issue where when the oil of the Toyota Prius was changed in GT Auto, the motor ceased to function correctly.
- Improved the force feedback of the Guillemot Thrustmaster T500 RS, where the 10 level adjustment of feedback force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively. Also improved a condition where it was difficult to drive in the intended path.
- Improved the force feedback for the Logitech Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel, G27 Racing Wheel and GT Force®Pro, where the 10 level adjustment of Feedback Force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively.

Additional information:

DLC cars can now be sold.
The VW Beetles weight is now correct.

So put the statement trough the BS filter and it tells you the bug is still out there and hasn't been resolved...

Meh, we'll see. Considering we don't use voice chat, it might be okay next race. Maybe we can turn it off in the room settings to see if that helps.

That's what I'm scared of.
Private lobby physics are supposedly slightly different.
I wish we could have password locked rooms.
 
Kaz would probably give us something like you need to sing the right song into your mic to join. :lol:
 
You guys know when you first open a room it gives you the option to turn microphone usage completely off, right?

In other news I've joined the Forza Le Mans Series, first race is 3.5hours at Sebring this weekend and I'll be racing the #4 Audi R18 :D
 
Still cant find anything on here where someone has tested a full room. I'm too lazy to do it myself. :(

Cool! It took me forever to get it running correctly, but now that I have it's quite an amazing shift in the right direction. 👍

I think eventually we could form teams in the league and run our own liveries. I'm all about GTP liveries/sponsorship :D

can you design your own cars in this game and not have to have a degree in graphic design? it would be awesome to make your own cars

All you need is Photoshop and a little bit of knowledge in where to put the files. I can help you with the knowledge part if you need it.

Jav and Gatrs, I'll drop the rFactor talk, but I am just going to say PM me here or on CMS about practicing tonight, if you want. I'll be home a little later, six-ish. Maybe after dinner around 8 or 9 I'll be on. Like I said PM me.
 
I'm pretty sure the Fords will come out on top at Seca this Friday.
 
Yeah cant make it this weekend. Going out of town but I'll be back on sunday. Question... Did they fix or do anything with the tire wear??
