Yeah. Had you not reset your PS3 you probably would have eventually un-black-screened, or at least I did. It just took a good 60 seconds or more. By the time I got in everyone else had left lol.

thats because sometimes it just wont load for everyone, so the ones who are stuck on black screens leave and it pushes the ones with no issues into the race. i never once got through, except on that 1 lap test run
 
I think its an issue for everyone. There have been a lot of complaints on the other sections of the forums. Be careful though. You try and start a rant thread and everyone will be all over you.
 
Naw I'm not much for ranting. Just curious how widespread the issue was, as I don't even really bother checking other areas of the forum these days. This is the only thread I really go into at GTP.

Maybe temporarily if problems persist we can lower the quality of the room, turn off mics and do whatever else we can to make things move more smoothly. Just a thought.

Also I've considered starting up a separate race series, an RGT GT-Challenge series. Might just borrow the regs from ALMS (the real life series) and have tire regulations--maybe racing hards.

Just a thought. I also wanted to give the group-b rally series another try. With all these tire issues rally might be one of the few unharmed areas of the game. Would anyone be interested in stewarding that one with me?

If you wanna read about all the issues. Were not the only league/site that is shutting down races until it gets fixed.

Who was it that recommended racing in free run mode? I like this idea. No drafting. :)

That was me, if you're talking about in chat at Sarthe last night. :)

I also think for group-b timing would be easier if it were done in free-mode. The only problem for ALMS would be figuring out the placing at the end of an actual race (not time trial like rally).
 
That would mean no replays, therefore no photos or stewarding.
Also, when they implemented the option to turn the draft up or down, they made it so that draft would work in free-run as well.
 
I vote having it down all the time. So many times where I would lose someone in the corners and then they would just eat me up in the draft.

That whole episode last night has gotten me out of the racing spirit. Havent even touched the PS3 today. :( Prolly gonna log in to keep my bonus and then wait till Tuesday to start racing again. First world problems.

Do the B-Spec Spa seasonal. 4 mil with doing nothing every 1/2 hour but you need the 200% bonus! I have 170% right now think. And 10mil credits ;)
 
I don't even care about credits anymore. For these series you don't really need to spend a lot too often, and it's rare I see any cars I really want these days that are expensive. I've kind of given up on GT5 outside of these GTP series.
 
Been grinding that since it came out. I have this thing where I dont like my credits get below 15 mill anymore. Gonna suck when they take that seasonal away.

I've actually started tuning my own cars now. Trying to find some sleepers that I dont see anyone racing with online. Mostly messing around the 400-450PP range right now.
 
Just got 40 b-spec again today after backing up my data from data corruption, I got setback like 3 level I think.

i just cant bring myself to run the endurance series in a spec, sure i could win every challenge but at what cost? i simply dont have the time to put into the game to waste 24 hours of my life. i do like trophies tho, but damn
