Lol!! Yeah!

Yeah, but they dominated pretty much everything else right?

Yes, They won the ILMC champinoship for the past two years wiping the floor with Audi. Audi has not won a non Le Mans event since the debut of the Audi R15 at sebring!! Thats unbelievable!

Absolute domination by Peugeot! Bow down to the new world order lol.

Thats what hit me the most. Peugeot is a winner, its not like they where losing.

Le Mans wins count more than a ILMC win (tho that's different now with the WEC) and Peugeot only has 1 to Audis 10, doesn't reflect well on a car meant to be faster always failing due to reliability issues and last year simply being outpaced...the WEC this year would be great with the newly revised Audi going up against the Pugs but ohwell....

Yup! That pretty much sums it all. Championships mean a lot to us real fans, to the general public the only race that exists is LeMans, that's what every manufacturer is after, that's the one they put the big bucks in to win, that's the one for wich the team has to respond to the board of directors back in the factory for not winning.

Anyone knows if Oreca will still be runing a Pug?

Worst part is Peugeot wont even run a semi works of a ful lon privateer peugeot. They're locking up the cars in some musuem or garage. They may even dismantle the cars.

That really really sucks!
Pescarolo really needs to get their hands on a chassis....

Oh God please allow this to happen!

Its pretty dumb if you ask me. I hope all French fans protest by not buying Peugeots citing lack of presence at Le Mans!! Not that anyone buys Peugeots anyway haha.
What a let down for all of France and the ACO who are French..Im so confused...Its not like they couldn't only run Le Mans. Theyre based in France..What the devil is the issue?

The same thing I've said the whole time...PSA is in a financial hole and can't afford to run the P1 program...why does no-one listen?

They're still allowing Citroen to continue on in WRC though. Loeb is probably that reason. No one has beat him in almost a decade! lol.

Jav I got nothing against what you're saying about Toyota, but they're under new management and headed in a new direction. Akio Toyoda is at the helm and he'll take Toyota/Lexus to new heights. The misconception with Toyota spending all this money in F1 is people neglect the fact that the investment is still paying off. I'm talking about the facilities in Cologne. They didn't just make the F1 cars, but they played a big part in the LFA, and now the LMP car that I think can take them to victory.

Citroen is also getting a large amount of funding from Red Bull to continue on its winning ways with Loeb unlike Peugeot who had token Playstation sponsorship and funded the P1 almost entirely themselves.

There was more than Playstation sponsorship. Total was another big sponsor. They just cut back because Europe is in a bad situation right now. Audi has VW, Toyota is Toyota. Other P1's are privateers. Peugeot is at a loss because they're not a worldwide brand as much as the others. Audi and Toyota are huge in America and everywhere else. Peugeot Citroen have no base in the U.S. That's huge.

Peugeot did the same in 1993! When Group C fatally died! :( it died a slow, sad death for the same reasons! R.I.P. Group C!

Peugeot/ Citroen would not survive in the U.S either. Most they're cars are hideous...(definetly acquired taste).

I automatically thought of this when I saw that car. Makes the fish look decent.

PSN will be down tomorrow for maintenance. Any chance in hell this at least helps fix our online woes?

Didn't they just do maintenance on the 16th, roughly 2 to 3 days ago? If they are doing maintenance again, hopefully this will solve the bug issues. But they may also need to release another update for the clients (the PS3 units in this case) as well. But that may not be the case. Do you have a source for this information?

0% chance, maybe everyone has to keep their system cache clear every once in a while? i think last friday that some people were actually able to get into the race and some werent, maybe its due to this, worth a shot.

But we buy completely generic cars.

Go figure. ^ And what. Is. That?! A Rick shaw?

The update will be on Sony's side.

Oh. I miss read that. Sorry. So the PS3 will be getting a firmware update? I seriously doubt this will fix the online bug issue as this is with Sony themselves and does not appear to be related to Polyphony in any way, including Polyphony's servers and network. The only way I see it fixing this problem is if the GT5 servers are actually in Sony's possession, but as far as I know, that's not the case.

we actually dont play on a GT5 server, once you open a room the host is the "server". which explains any weird connection issues people may have, only it seems since the update some people dont connect well with others.
