managed a lucky 6890 in my Shelby Daytona Coupe. Think I could double my score, if I knew how to get section 3 & 4 perfect.

Any tunes for this trial?

Sounds scary, but maybe I'll give it a try! Thanks for this!

Edit: Ok, I can't do it. I run out of patience too fast. I was able to get 3500p tho.

Wow you weren't kidding! I got 6600 and was done with the event, cheers mate!

I got around 7000 in an Escort WRC and around 8000 points in a 99 Focus WRC I find the 99 Focus handles section 2 better than the 08 Focus.

LOL.........
We all started off with a DS3 controller.
Your controler does not mean alot, in GT6 car setup is about 65% and skill is 35%.
Practice, practice and practice thats all, ive been drifting for about 3 years now and
at the end of the day you can read all the blogs and forums on how to drift, but each guy
has his own style and preference.
Trial and error the whole time, trust me. I tried plenty of guys setups and eventually sorted my
own setup and style out by myself.
When you start putting a plaster on your thumb because of the throttle button, then
you know you are actually learning to drift and are serious about it.
I had a plaster on permanently LOL.
But if you contemplate getting a wheel it is well worth it, you wont regret it.
Heres a couple of links you can take a look at so long.

Forgive me but I personally think drifting a Deltawing looks wrong. To me, an American drift trial means massive power in an FR muscle car. When race cars allowed, logically that means the LMGT versions of muscle cars.

It's just an aesthetic thing. If you want big scores, use the Deltawing.

Here is my 'authentic' choice, just squeaking over the 10,000 points barrier. By 7 points. :P Pro drift tuners and drivers are finding another 5,000 points with this car. But those setups aren't here...so I hope this helps GTP regulars.

[Not sure how I reached this, probably the normal 'tranny trick' with Final nearly to the right]
1: 4.310 [not used]
2: 3.030 [used briefly before section 2 hairpin, change to 3rd at 60km/h then enter and up to 5th]
3: 2.270 [used at start until 50m board, then full gas into 4th, slight turn then 5th and you're sliding, then 6th if you can]
4: 1.777 [approach for section 3 around 120km/h, full gas full turn in then 5th and counter-steer before start gate, up to 6th if you can...feather throttle and steering becomes easy if you enter right! keep trying]
5: 1.456 [all sections]
6: 1.246 [only use this in section 1 and 3]
Final: 3.420

Body
180 380 [minimum downforce]
Ballast: 200kg
Position: +50% [for stability in the banking]

The scoring for Drift Trials is very, very, very fussy. Turn on driving line and try to make the front wheels trace it.

The extreme banking makes this a very tough drift challenge, for me. You must counter-steer early in section 2 and 3 like the description says. Remember the car has to turn around the corner. Release the counter-steer for a fraction of a second to make the car turn.

Don't worry about smooth inputs, accelerating through the turn or entering at high speed. Enter at the speed which lets you roast the tyres before the gate and maintain the 'right' angle throughout the turn.

Don't quit your run. Always drive it to the end. Treat it like hot-lapping a time trial seasonal. You must learn every corner, not just the first one. ;)

If you are being inconsistent, note down your scores. Add up the best sectors and realise your 'ideal' score is thousands higher than what you have recorded! Keep trying and you'll string together a personal best eventually.

I'll have to give your tune a try, on my tune I got a 11,081 good for 167th. Settings I used,
PP: 677
Hp: 991
Weight: 1,100 kg
F/R weight distribution 49/51

Tires
Front: comfort hard
Rear: comfort soft
Suspension
Only change made
camber
Front: 5.5 Rear: 8
Transmission
Set max speed to 174 and adjust final gear to 3.420
Differential gear
10/60/10
Carbon drive shaft
Engine
Stage 3 and supercharger
Downforce
F: 200/ R: 535
For me it can be unstable but it works well.

First I want to thank you for sharing your tune for the DeltaWing. I have been working with it since you posted it and it came with some great success for me. In the wee waning minutes of this event I score 11,083 which placed me in 169th. The highest I've ever score in GT6.
So Thank You Again!
