Ok I don't normally make threads on here and I tried to find a thread containing what I have to say but couldn't so here goes.

What on gods own earth is going on with PD ? Seriously Mercedes-Benz go to the trouble to partner with GT and actually build the car for real yet PD cant even recreate it properly ingame.

First off no modeled cockpit I was under the impression it was one of these so called premium cars, Perhaps I was mistaken.

Secondly I had the brainwave of I'll take it to the ring in the wet and as I was cycling through the views I decided to test the wipers and see if it distracts me from the non existent interior and guess what ? PD didn't give it any wipers.

And finally I know there is no rear window to speak of on the thing but it still would have been nice to look back and see something other than just the road and no car.

Rant over.

Do you seriously think OP that when they were modeling the car the modeler went to Kaz at some point and said, "Kaz, wipers?" and Kaz said, "Forget it, it's 5 o'clock, we're all going for sushi". Because that's lazy. It's an oversight in the rush to get it out for the game and it'll be patched later or it's intentional and they don't want to put resources into a cockpit mode for this car because they are too busy working on the other 25 VGT cars. Yes they should have more people, but no they don't. I understand your frustration and you're entitled to it, but there are much bigger issues with the game we should be worried about:lol:

Not many concept cars have wipers, especially ones as crazy as that

Though I remember seeing a model of the interior. Maybe it'll come in an update?

It is a concept car.

Real concept cars sometimes don't even have door handles. Or interiors. Or engines.

MB has designed the interior so there should be references available for PD to model from.
I'm pretty sure though that "being lazy" isn't the reason why it hasn't been done yet.

I don't really care, the FT86 II, the GTR Proto didn't have one either. They'll probably give us one when they give us the AMG VGT with the wing.

More important is finding out what to do with the other 790 or something cars that don't have interiors.

Sure you can. If you aren't going to bother with actually finishing the car, then don't bother including it.
New Poll

The Mercedes Vision GT is an awesome looking car, it's absolutely free and we won't force you to drive it or do anything with it, but it doesn't have wipers or an interior. Should be put it in the game anyway?

Yes - 99.9999999999999%
No - 0.0000000000001% <<< @Jawehawk

You could say that for anything though. Should they include the standard cars? There's a lot of debate on that.
Should they include a track if they haven't finished the enviroment? Since when did it become uncommon to expect that the content released in and for a game is finished upon release?

Its a game breaker, I'm selling my copy on ebay as of now 💡
(but seriously tho, I got a copy of the 15thae selling on ebay)

Tell that to Kaz and co. Atleast it's as good in quality as a premium car as the GTR Proto and the FT86 II.

The car has neither wipers or an interior irl. Sure there are some renderings and maybe PD could've added one based on those renderings but who know what other factors were involved. MB could've just said no, since the design wasn't complete and PD would've had to take too many liberties with the design.

As far as I recall, the GTR prototype didn't even have an engine? If that is the case, it should never have been included in the first place. The FT86 concepts all have interiors though. At least as far as I remember.

Not the FT86 II. It's kinda ridiculous to expect a car not to be included in a game for not having an interior.

To which I'll quote myself and say...

"Since when did it become uncommon to expect that the content released in and for a game is finished upon release?"

If the content isn't finished, then don't release it. Simple as that. If the content can't ever be finished due to the current and future status of whatever you're basing the content on, then don't even start on it.

You never thought that it was possible that when PD began modeling the VGT that Mercedes only gave them exterior pics and that the interior wasn't finished?
Or, has anyone considered that even if they had a sketch (or whatever) to go off of, that Mercedes Benz did not allow them to model the interior as its not a final product yet? With GT becoming the first step of advertisement for auto manufacturers these days, I'm sure they may not want to portray something that isn't fully fleshed out yet, as it might be seen as equivalent of false advertisement.

Enough with the lazy accusation threads! Are you guys even in touch with reality? Do you think a studio is important as PD is successful while being lazy? You can accuse them of a lot of things: oversight, poor planning and resource management, out of touch, not listening to the players wishes, but using lazy is just out and out trolling and or ignorant.

Not to mention the sketch only featured the front portion of the interior. How the hell is Polyphony going to model the rest of it if Mercedes didn't provide the information?

But the car is finished, it just doesn't have an interior, neither did the real car.

This thread shows exactly what's wrong with the gaming community right now. You have an awesome feature in a game where all the top manufacturers provide awesome modelsnfor you to drive in. Something incredibly unique, yet all some people can do is whine about it. This thread is one of the saddest threads I've ever senn on gt planet.
