AMG VGT PD getting lazy ?

Maybe they didn't want to expend so much money and time with the interior, or something happened. We have as a good example of exclusive concept the GT by Citroen.

As I said though who knows exactly, it could be they are lazy or extremely busy when it comes to this, I really can't pick sides based on the info. However with that said I am disappointed, when we all heard these specialized cars exclusive to this game were coming I'm sure many thought they'd be fully detailed in and out.

It's sad he is effectively being bullied for making this point (granted calling PD 'lazy' is a bit too far).

This car doesn't even have an engine in real life (only a small electric one powered with remote control) so there is no logic in mocking him as there should be an interior.

Merc made the car for the game and it's great marketing and publicity so both them and PD should have created an interior of sorts.

Any car released should have an interior regardless of their origin (VGT or otherwise).

Something tells me that if PD had simply gone off of the sketch and then M-B provided them with enough information to model a full interior, certain people here would be up in arms over an update including that but not the inclusion of their beloved Kia Sephia with 238k on the odometer. Or perhaps they went off of the sketch but people would think it looks too much like said skecth and not an actual car interior. It's a powerhouse of a car that was provided free of charge when most [much slower cars] require much more effort to obtain than in past iterations of the game. Don't like it? Delete it from your garage. I'll go on the record and say that I appreciate the effort that PD did go to to include this in the game and do so expecting nothing in return. Maybe for my gratitude I'll get a continuously-updated top speed on my transmission graph.

Gratitude > Attitude

New Poll

The Mercedes Vision GT is an awesome looking car, it's absolutely free and we won't force you to drive it or do anything with it, but it doesn't have wipers or an interior. Should be put it in the game anyway?

Yes - 99.9999999999999%
No - 0.0000000000001% <<< @Jawehawk

Not to mention that it can give you $20 mill....In a way.

If you are genuinely discrediting a vehicle and calling it "awful" because there's no modeled interior then you have WAYYYY too much time on your hands.
I'm trying really hard to make sense of that statement. Worried I might get an aneurism before it's all said and done.

TC is getting so upset over a virtual car not having a modeled interior. I wish I had enough time in my life to complain about a virtual car not having an interior and discrediting a major game developer but I have other things to attend to first.

You do realize you're spending as much time pointing out he has too much time as he is complaining about whatever he's complaining about.
Having a few seconds to rant=/=having too much free time on your hands.

Made up car with a made up engine and a made up drivetrain doesn't have a made up interior to go along with it. This is despite the fact that previous made up cars with made up engines and made up drivetrains did have made up interiors; and that the entire point of their existence was that they were made up from scratch for the game.

So it's pretty funny that the go-to response in this thread is that "the real car didn't have one."

I'm looking at pictures of the AMG VGT at various auto shows and I see an interior through the windows...and people right outside being able to look in...but here I'm being told there is no interior.

No interior on a concept car...

I just drove the BMW M4 and that also has no interior.

It's a "closely guarded secret;" like the one in the Furai.

I'm still finding it amazing.... It's a free car (technically two free cars now) and people here and discrediting it and then "fan attacking" the developer.

So what if it doesn't have an interior? It's content, and it's great free content. Free both ways aswell. Real currency & in-game currency. Y'all need to lower some standards... It's not like they told you these two cars would have interiors then charged you for it.

The show shots I've looked at suggest they added a basic dash, modeled HUD and a couple of seats at the very least. One of which is occupied by a human dummy with a race driver getup.

Because as a concept made specifically for this game by a company that went and modeled a car both inside and out, it should at least be included in its entirety. You'd think that Mercedes would understand that, right?

And I'm sure as hell they did. But since PD wanted the car in the game by day one, I reckon the likelihood that they didn't have enough time to get everything in order before December 6th is rather high.

I rarely use the interior view anyway, as I like to see as much of the track as possible. I go for the dials only view normally.

If the car doesn't have an interior then don't shove picture of the interior in the damn dealership menu. I mean it's cool we have a free car but it's unfinished to the point that it's not worth including.
Now it if were a car like the M4, I can understand because that'll be updated soon unless PD decides to 🤬 up again and never update it. But here it's a damn one-off; how hard could it be to create or recreate interior of it?!?

PD has a glorious record of including stuff that ain't finished. If the interior isn't finished then at the very least get rid of all those pics displaying an interior.

I still find it amazing that whenever something is left incomplete in a GT game the retort is usually something along the lines of "lower your expectations", if I have to lower my expectations for a modeled interior for a car made specifically for the game then that in and of itself is more of a problem than the actual problem being discussed, same goes for the M4.

"Unprecedented access" yet there's no interior modeling? My mistake, I should have assumed it wouldn't have been completed.

You guys think this is gonna stay like this forever. PD has update history on it's side. Is it dumb? Yeah, and I was miffed at first for not seeing the belly of the beast, but I still got an M4 to toss around.

Man everyone is bellyaching about interiors, and I'm just sitting here enjoying the car.

It has an "out," but not a "in". You can't model something that doesn't exist that is purely a draft sketch. The M4 doesn't have an excuse because it does actually have an interior. But it's free. So I can't complain. Both cars are great fun.

Wait. Wait. Wait. The Red Bull X1('s) is a car born of draft sketches. Kind of nullifies my statement. I think i'm on to something... Adrian Newey magic needs to be performed for you to have an interior.... ha! ha!

Maybe i'm too grateful. This whole forum is plagued by X is wrong, X is messed up, X is missing, etc. It's all very minor things. Nothing entirely breaking, just disappointing minor things. I personally don't care for interior views. Infact, i'd prefer they don't exist much like any form of damage. I'm satisfied to how it is, and if there's improvements. Good.

That's just it though. It's not only a draft sketch, but a rendered design - as seen on their website and posted numerous times on GTP - which appears to have been integrated into the actual concept Mercedes built, to some degree.

I'll be clear that I don't tend to use the interior view that often and if PD never bother to integrate it at some point, I won't lose sleep over it. But it seems to me like they either didn't have the time to get it done by last Friday, or they just decided it wasn't worth the effort when other issues in the game needed to be addressed.

The real life version of it doesn't have an interior either.

I don't even think the real version has a motor. Can't imagine what the OP would rant on about if the game version was missing that. Take your pick I guess.

PD gives out a car that nobody else can have, nobody bats an eye

They give out a car that hasn't hit production yet without an interior, everyone loses their minds

People are whining about the M4 as well in terms of the interior. Guess what? You JUST got a car in a game that the public won't be able to drive for at least another 6 months, and it was revealed in game as it was revealed to the public. Exactly what part of that isn't good enough?

Nissan GT-R Proto is in GT5: Prologue and doesn't have an interior - nobody cares.
Toyota FT-86 II Concept is in GT5 and doesn't have an interior - nobody cares.
Mercedes Vision GT Concept is in GT6 and doesn't have an interior - everyone loses their minds.

I don't understand the comparison to the past, over 5+ yrs. things have moved on and so has competition. Any car without an interior, MERC VGT or otherwise needs sorting.

It's not like PD don't have the money and or resources

Precisely. The fact is the model which is in the game is the same one shown today at Detroit. It has blacked out windows and so I'm guessing BMW probably hasn't added the steering column, dashboard etc yet. Particularly if it won't be released for another 6 months.
