But the car is finished, it just doesn't have an interior, neither did the real car.

I'll quote myself again...

"If the content can't ever be finished due to the current and future status of whatever you're basing the content on, then don't even start on it."

If it doesn't have a cockpit view, then no. It's isn't finished. It's absolute rubbish.

Tell that to PD and Mercedes.

Sure it would be nice and dandy if the car had an interior, but it doesn't for some undisclosed reason, probably because the real car doesn't have one like most concept cars or because the 🤬 I know. But any car is fair game to me, regardless of what I can see inside of it's cockpit. Plus, I get one for free.

Now go home before I call upon my army of LFAs to dispose of you because you don't agree with me :trouble:

My issue with this is that GT have modeled two MB cars for GTV and yet going further to do an interior is an issue? Though a number of circumstances could have happened either way, I don't think one side can come above the other and say if it were lazy or not.

Sure you can. If you aren't going to bother with actually finishing the car, then don't bother including it.
PD wouldn't make an interior from a drawing, man. One thing is Mercedes and its designers, another PD and its programmers..

Maybe they didn't want to expend so much money and time with the interior, or something happened. We have as a good example of exclusive concept the GT by Citroen.

how does one make a car without an interior????....

Many concept cars are used for shows and are little more than tube frames on wheels with a really fancy shell. Some are nothing but a polished modeled fiberglass/foam shell sitting on wheels. Interior or not, Vision GT(and previous GT games) gives us a chance to drive these 'Dream' cars based on some design/performance parameters. Some concepts are more complete(Drivable) but lack interiors and may only have the absolute bare essentials for testing(seat, pedals, steering). Still often little more than tube frames with an engine. Again, GT gives us a chance to experience these cars before an eventual production model. Personally we need more concepts.

You could say that for anything though. Should they include the standard cars? There's a lot of debate on that.
Should they include a track if they haven't finished the enviroment? Since when did it become uncommon to expect that the content released in and for a game is finished upon release?
You're right of course and I was being flip with my answer for humourous purposes but like everything else, it means different things to different people and perspective always changes things. I'm ok with it the way it is but not ok with a lot of other stuff like sounds, but for some people that isn't a big issue. I'd rather the car was complete from top to bottom of course and certainly if I paid for it I wouldn't be happy. But it is free...it looks cool...and cockpit for me is nerfed for another reason anyway...framerates blow for me in cockpit...

This is intolerable. I will delete the game data and I will re-install just to make sure that I really don't need this $#@* game and then I'll even sell the VGT just to be sure that I won't have it. ;) I won't go back unless PD gives me 20m cr.

ahh solid.
sorry I'm not very familiar with concept cars. thanks for explanation
so what's the point of companies making concept cars? it just sounds like a waste of time creating something that's not even going to be for production?

That's because the car doesn't need wipers, being so advanced its windows are 400% hydrophobic.

I was going to say something smart comparing it to an F22, or F35, but they are the opposite being unable to fly within 100 miles of a fart, let alone a real weather front.

Merc windscreen = hydrophobic.
F22/F35 = sponge. ie. inoperable in the wet.

Concepts are marketing tools. They give an idea of the direction an automaker wants to go. Sometimes just design styles but often technology as well. They show them to investors and take them to shows and gauge reaction and interest. While concept cars are generally far fetched and production models will only borrow some queues, some automakers have more realistic concepts and stick reasonably close to their ideas(Kia/Hyundai come to mind).

Isn't this car going into limited production? It will have an interior. The question is will PD bother to update the black silhouette.

I don't know anything 'bout it either. Just a wee joke. I know some cars have hydrophobic side windows ect...... but not windscreens.

Did they update any of the concept cars to have interiors in GT5? I Honestly dont remember if the GTR concept got updated. My guess is that we would at least get the new production model.

I saw some pics of the model in the LA Convention Center a couple of days ago, and you can see a dummy driver inside and he seems to be holding the steering wheel. Didn't find any pics that would show the console though...

No. Mercedes has said the car will not be produced at all. However, someone IS creating their own version by taking an SLS AMG GT and putting a Vision GT body on top.

Stop moaning about Jawehawk's opinion, he's entitled to have one. I kind of agree that this BIG HUGE THING for GT6 looks a little less impressive in this state. Although I'm not complaining it's in there, it just could have been better. Like so many things in GT6.

PD are seriously understaffed.

A comparison of the interior.

Since when do sketches mean the final thing and since when has PD base of modeling from them? Sketches are sketches, they're still ideas being finalized. Just look at that sketch. We don't even know how the dashboard and instrumentals will work.

Opinion is one thing, but it's another to jump into conclusion that PD is being incompetent and lazy about this whole thing.

I'll agree that PD is really understaffed though!

At the end if the day, I think this is the best looking thing on wheels on this planet! It's pretty much the only reason I picked up GT6 and I don't regret it in the slightest!
An interior would be welcome, but not essential.
Sort the racing exhaust sound first, I'm leaving mine standard till then.
