First of all i think overall the game is ok, but something is just so glaring, so wrong i just have to vent about it.
My current status: 76.4%

14 golds
19 silvers
47 bronze
Machine skill 71?
Course skill 54?
Battle skill 51?
Win ratio 47.3%
What is with the times PD chose for licencing and missions? Some of them are practically impossible. I know some of you are 100%, I dont care. Do not post here
MY GRIPE: the game does not in any way tell you what you have done wrong at all.
Based on split times of my best efforts (licencing) i can tell where im going wrong but i have no idea why. And here is the real rub: In real life im an excellent racer. i frequently race real cars on real road racing circuts and do extremely well. Last time my car club drove 4 hours down to F1 boston and i set the fastest lap record. I am not a novice, i have read several racing books, been to schools. And im a scientist at work 40 hours a week. I know how the area under the velocity plot is my total time. I just can't figure out why it seems impossible for me to gold and sometimes silver the licences. they seem so simple. I have the most problems with the guided laps.
I wonder how much of my problem is the DS2 controller? I do not have a DFP and am not really interested in buying one.
I literally get in a rage playing the game, right now im trying to SILVER A-15. I am consistently doing a lap at 2:07.5 only half a second from my silver goal. I've done it countess times untill i get so angry i have to turn off the game. This totally ruined the game for me. Ruined. How do they expect kids to beat this? (all golds) (im 28)
How did PD set these times? Did they use a wheel? Perhaps a computer sets the time? I just can't see how sombody made the decision to make the goals this hard. It just is not fun in any way. I find it extremely hard to believe that there are people out there that are going to be able to gold these things without serious frustration.
Mission hall is just insane, absolutley retardedly difficult. I have NOT completed (13-20, 31,33,34) all others i have beaten. I really enjoy the feeling of beating a mission. They are so stupidly difficult that i feel i have really accomplised something when i complete one. I literally scream and yell and jump up and down with joy. But those fleeting few moments do not outweigh the days of total frustration when im figuring out the missions. Totally not worth the effort. The rewards are GENERALLY terrible, some are excellent. I really think that given the difficulty, every mission should have a prize car, and that the cars should be the best in the game.
It really, really, bothers me to know that i will never complete the game. I thought games were supposed to be fun? This is far from fun. Fun instantly ends once you have hit the brick wall and stop making consistent forward progress.
I wish i knew PD's phone number so i could express my displeasure with the game i waited YEARS for.
I wish PD knew that i bought a playstation only for there game, and that the only two games i have ever owned are GT3, and GT4.
I wish i could get a refund, it just is not worth the frustration.
So do you think a DFP would help me 100% the game?
Im in the ALBANY NY area. Any super-players near me that could help me out? I'm not the kind of person who gives up.
Thanks for listening.
