sorry if off topic but does this still work?

Suzuka is the only course in the Vettel challenge I haven't/can't "medal" - I would LOVE to complete it.

It works, but you need to be very careful. Messing up just once will cause you to have to restart.

don't think that will be an issue...I've spent hours on Suzuka in the Vettel challenge as it is!!!
 
it should be an easy fix, once your outside the white line that goes around the hole track, your lap should be invalid, cant be that hard to code?
 
Why don't they close this event like the last one? They better keep these time trials away until they fix this.

I guess someone need first to report it in their forum like I did with the last seasonal glitcher times here, then MastrGT or one of the mods will pass the info to the PD Special Forces.
And they finally going to rush in & cancel the seasonal. :D

Until then, nothing will happen. It's like they are blind or never take a look at the leaderboards. :banghead:

I am against 'pulling' the complete event, it's not ethical to pull it. They can remove the leaderboards.
But PD can repair all tracks, and in the meantime leave this TT as it is.

BTW -of topic- that oficial PSN site is broken AGAIN, i'd like to see that fixed too please.
 
I can't remember which game it was, but must have been in the mid '90s, where this problem was solved in the simplest way ever...

You could do insane shortcuts on the track, but unless you hit all of the checkpoints - in order - the lap wouldn't count. Can't be that hard to do in 2011...

Finish/Start line: Check
P1: Check
P2: Check
P3: No Check
P4: Check
Finish/Start line: Check -> Lap = Void

Since the Checkpoints span the width of the track, this effectively fixes the "spin around the pole"-glitch. You can still cut corners though.
