Another cheater!!!!!

Problem with this is its the leaderboards. I would agree with this if it were over duping cars or the birthday since they don't effect anyone. This however does, everyone else's hardwork gets thrown away because someone decided they didn't actually try to put a fast lap without resorting to this. Exploiting Glitches in Single player is one thing, doing online against others is completely different.

Also, Video is up:

LOL, had to be another Red Bull car

Cheating? Maybe... Dishonest yes...

But what there doing is exploiting an existing bug in Suzuka... If they had hacked the software and created that bug that would be cheating...

I can't believe that some people have nothing better to do than drive around the various tracks looking for holes, instead of following the actual track. If it ever came down to that level of boredom, I'd play another game. Is GT5 the only game they own for their PS3?

Forgive me if this has been answered in the past, but why doesn't PD just remove the cheaters from the leaderboard? I would think there would be a way to set an alert when there is a time set that is impossible to make without exploitation of the track. If that happens, only honest players would be listed.

I do wonder what is difficult in programming penalties akin to the license tests. You get out of the track, you lose! Start over!! Simple as that.

Silly gamer geeks.

I wondered that myself. Surely if you can get a penalty by slamming into a wall, there should be a mechanism to give a penalty by going through a wall and underneath the ground.

It'd be easier to just fix all the holes as they are found and exploited, really. I'm struggling to think of a practical way of detecting "out of bounds", given the size (and shape) of the tracks...

👍 I've found the same thing with TT15. I can't bother not much more.
But i'm disappointed by PD, this game has issues.
I hope they DON'T remove it btw, removing Nürenborg wasn't necessary imo. same for this TT.
Greetings stano666 :)

A part of me is thinking that maybe we are focussing and giving these cheaters loads of attention. I bet they are cooped up in their dungeon somewhere basking in the glory of all the attention and forum content been generated due to their actions. I wish we can boycott them. Not give them any attention or forum time. Not even mention them or their actions. Completely blank and ignore them. Eventually they will realise noone gives two monies what they do. Without the attention they crave, they will eventually stop.

ah thats ****.
people like Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini etc...pp and of course these guys really need other means to get their 5 minutes of fame.

Further to what Jeremiah TB said. If pd catches cheaters just remove them entirely from PSN. Harsh punishment? Yes, but imagine all of the hours spent gathering points, cars, etc then not be able to play under their name...sends a clear message....right?..

Instead of fixing all the 'holes' in each track (which ofcourse is, ideally, the best solution, don't get me wrong), couldn't they just implement a minimum time?
Not sure what the best proper time is on this time trial (think I only managed a low 0:52) but something like, say 10 seconds in this case, below what's humanly possible?
This minimum time should be secret ofcourse, otherwise they'll just wait a few seconds before crossing the line.......
Not sure this is a good suggestion though but it at least makes cheating a bit harder.

I still think my idea for a fix would eliminate all of these track cutting glitches. If they have nothing to drive on under the track, they can't run laps like that. They would just fall into oblivion and have to restart or the game would put them back onto the track and make the lap invalid.

Edit: Or they can extend the track cutting co-ordinates under the track and when people do that it invalidates the lap.

Best proper ones appear to be 46s, which is only two seconds faster then the 48s I managed.

Before we crucify or accuse people of cheating has anyone watched the replay to confirm that the person glitched? I hate cheats but let's be sure before we accuse.

Well if he's 18.XXX seconds in front of the next guy then what do you honestly think? :ouch:

This glitch is actually quite useful, for example if you want to gold Vettel challenge on Suzuka or still need to do the Suzuka 1,000 km. :sly:

BUT CHEATING IN THE RANKING LIST IS DUMB! :grumpy:

Edit: Took me 2 minutes to search and find this video.

Not for online, but quite usefull for the dump Vettel challenge. :dopey:👍

I guess the morons that have to glitch online must have a very small penis or they are just to skillless to get the job done without cheating. :sly:

I think one major factor has been missed here and we're talking too much about the guy(s) who have cheated. If PD had learnt their lesson from the Nurburgring TT last time out they should have added a patch / update before adding any new TT's. The YT videos have been all over the place telling them exactly where they need to fix their game. All they have to do is take the barrier strength dial and turn it up to 11! At the moment it's probably only on 2!!

Okay, then they could perhaps set a secret minimum time of around 35 seconds in this case (to allow plenty of margin for the true "Driving Gods") so that anything below that is automatically disqualified as getting below 35 seconds driving the way you're supposed to is impossible to do I reckon.
Or implement a 'detection system' which recognises the track isn't driven the way it's supposed to, although if that were easy I'd guess they'd already done it by now.

And to those who propose the cheaters should be banned from PSN (if that were even possible to do in the first place), that's frankly ridiculous as the flaws of the game allow it apparantly.
I do wonder why they want to be publicly known to be cheaters though, if it's to make a point I can understand it perhaps, even when the purpose and enjoyment of a proper time trial is diminished for those who seek to do it in a fair way.
It might actually be a badge of honour in some circles though but if this remains possible to do PD might as well not bother putting these time trials online anymore.

Just out of curiousity... Aren't these people violating the EULA concerning onlie play..?

They should, quite simply, be banned from online play. I know they'll keep making new accounts... At least put them through the trouble of doing so...

I've just noticed another annoying glitch: I got gold first time I tryed but when I came back, it was gone. I did it again and gold but again I come back, its gone.

Also it seems since last night, 9 new cheaters have appeared and now make up the top 10 times.

How does this guy getting a faster time than you, affect you? Is it stopping you from getting gold? Is there some prize for placing 1st on the leader board? Do you all cry about everything that anyone does of which you disapprove? Who ****ing cares? You know his time isn't legit, why isn't that enough?

I'm always fascinated by online racing. I've had a wheel for sometime and use it in online races. I constantly race on the edge and have posted some really great times beating the opposition quite handily. What I find interesting is that some guy will use a car that is underpowered and you know it shouldn't even be in the race, but not only win, but totally demolish the field. I'm not sure if there is a cheat somewhere they are using...I'm not p od....just fascinated..

Really? You are going to post on what you think the words mean? :dunce: He would be dishonest if you asked if he cheated and he denied it.

cheating present participle of cheat (Verb)
1. Act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, esp. in a game or examination: "she cheats at cards".

dis·hon·es·ty/disˈänəstē/Noun
1. Deceitfulness shown in someone's character or behavior.
2. A fraudulent or deceitful act

Do you not see how its being acheived? Its not that someone got a faster time, its how they are doing it.
