Well we've gone from cheating to using the dictionary to clarify dishonest......hehe
I guess it's no surprise someone actually thinks it's OK to cheat in online games.
Sad, but some people just don't understand what would make an online competition fun. People want to enjoy a fair fight. Cheaters destroy the fun.
How does this guy getting a faster time than you, affect you? Is it stopping you from getting gold? Is there some prize for placing 1st on the leader board? Do you all cry about everything that anyone does of which you disapprove? Who ****ing cares? You know his time isn't legit, why isn't that enough?

I guess the morons that have to glitch online must have a very small penis or they are just to skillless to get the job done without cheating.![]()
But, it's completely obvious who is using the exploit. Still, no one has explained how this detracts from their own experience in the least.
How is being ranked 256 in the world any different from being ranked 257 with an obvious cheat at the top? Until someone can give a legitimate answer to that, you're all just crying about something that has absolutely no bearing on you whatsoever.
You apparently don't understand the fun of an online competition. The fun is seeing your name at #1 or #10 or #50 or whatever. Not #53 but the first 3 guys cheated so I'm really 50.
Just because YOU don't care about it and YOU don't enjoy it, doesn't mean other people can't. Heck the leaderboard was all old arcade games had, it was exciting to put your 3 digit initials into the Space Invaders arcade machine in the top 10.
Instead of fixing all the 'holes' in each track (which ofcourse is, ideally, the best solution, don't get me wrong), couldn't they just implement a minimum time?
Not sure what the best proper time is on this time trial (think I only managed a low 0:52) but something like, say 10 seconds in this case, below what's humanly possible?
This minimum time should be secret ofcourse, otherwise they'll just wait a few seconds before crossing the line.......
Not sure this is a good suggestion though but it at least makes cheating a bit harder.

Before we crucify or accuse people of cheating has anyone watched the replay to confirm that the person glitched? I hate cheats but let's be sure before we accuse.
Was just happy to get the gold with a sluggish 53 second lap.
To all you people who whine about why GT5 never fully supported leaderboards -- perhaps this is the reality check that hits home.
Or maybe he set his time, turned his PS3 off and found something else to do in the world knowing full well it'd make people like you get your knickers in a twist and rant and rave about him and attack on a forum to make you feel good about yourself!
Pick your car, set a time, take the money and gifts, exit seasonals,go play GT online and prove just how good you are ther......its not hard
Weird how GT5 Prologue still has leadearboards for tracks like Suzuka then. Don't you think? Something tells me that PD wanted to have full attention to their Seasonal Events or they just cannot figure out how they will implement permanent leaderboards in GT5.
I´m sure PD knows how to implement the leaderboard but I´m also sure they don´t know how to fix the holes in the tracks.
If they don´t fix the holes in the track , you´ll have the exploiters permanently on the leaderboard.
