I would not wait, do your qualifier, as it can take a few weeks for the new batch to come out.... you can join the academy and development league to improve on your skills....and you are racing in the meantime... if you need help or want to know anything, feel free to PM me...

here it is sparky https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153734
Thing is time restraints. I can only truly be on GT5 on Saturdays and Sundays. This week because my School is preparing for elections and I didn't have school for the whole week.

Ok. I'll try out but the annoying part is the GTP PSN account.

There is nothing anoying, all the cars we race can be provided by us if you dont have them, getting your new account up to level 12 is peanuts.... once youve did it you will ask yourself, hell why didn't i do this before....

Ok. I'll try it later. Get to lvl 12 A-spec while I'm lvl 32 on Sparkytooth5000.

Guys I'm atleast better at something and that's car guessing.

Sparkytooth - the next time you take somebody out please have the decency to at least allow them to pass. An apology would be great as well.

On the subject of apologies - sorry to MrMelancholy... I think that was me who rammed you going into the first chicane. I did slow to let you regain your composure. It was just a case of a missed braking point coupled with a congested corner.

Cheers :)

I remember taking only Mel out. It was on qualifiers and it was unintended, I apologized later, same with Braun but during race 3 but wasn't a total spin out or amything really costly to both of us. I don't really remember if I took you out (I know this isn't Burnout/NFS). Wait Race 3 incident, you spun out and I tried to dodge the carnage, I hit you and got stuck on you.

Thankfully, that's what replays are for. It's common knowledge that human memory decays quite rapidly. If you don't have a replay saved on your own hard disk I'm more than happy to upload my own if it will help. :)

No mate, you induced the spin by tapping me several times. I was perfectly fine until the contact.

Sorry bout that pal. I didn't stop because I was going to get crushed by everyone. Fraggin Lag. Also before race 2 and race 3 (I hate those races) I got classily kicked out of 3rd place by our old suspect Braun, it was the last corner on Madrid and he divebombs (looked down upon) into the corner, taking me out and placing me in 4th.

No worries. Just try to be less aggressive in future. Thanks for apologising as well.

Will do! I try my best to keep my distance, I'm not good at keeping distance when in crowds. S2 will be lightyears better than this season.

I know what you mean. It can be difficult knowing where the other people are when it's tight and congested. I tend to just try and be a little patient and wait for a good opening to appear. It keeps things clean and makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

Still can't justify much stuff. Oh well.... bring on the onslaught Morten!

Especially when racing virtually... When I'm doing real-life karting it's a lot easier to judge the distances between cars and, respectively, easier to drive cleanly.

but the stewards demand FlakyPastry to put the car for share to allow stewarding

On what counts? Am I being detained or am I free to go?

Haha, just kidding. Yeah, I'll put it for share right now. I might just put the car up here to give some guys a help with a stable tune to allow for some tighter racing :)

I bet... in the virtual world we don't have the luxury of being able to look around and behind us. But then we do have the benefit of not having to pay out of our pockets when things do go wrong on the odd occasion.

How long have you been karting for?

Speaking of karts. Why don't we all meet up in GT5 tomorrow to have a jolly good time racing Karts? It's saturday. At about the same time we have the Clio races on Fridays. Just a good one off race between all us Clio racers ;) but in Karts.

Shes Sparky, now you've ruined my plan for an event when we're done, but that's all I'm saying, except that unless I hear any vetos before Monday prize and ballast is no longer :)

I can make 3 EST hopefully. If you guys can't make that. Have a fun race!👍

I can't say I'm against removing ballast, because it'll make my life easier, but weight checks aren't too difficult and it adds a level of strategy/leveling amongst the drivers. I do think that there's a bit too much weight going around being added each race day (up to 70kg per day) but since its maxed at 100kg, it's not too bad or a deal breaker in any way. Though I think just about everyone will be at the max weight by the end of the season, I'd think.

I don't mind either way, honestly.

Guys. If you want I'm organizing a 3 race kart run tomorrow. Only normal non DLC Karts are allowed (The PDI 100 Kart). It will take place at the time a Clio race normally takes place. For the fellow racers who haven't friended me on PSN, do it, do it now!!! *Schwarzeneggers voice. As the race will take place in my lounge.

Friend me on PSN if you want to join the one off races, PM me informing me of that.

Still don't understand Flaky's car.

Me, neither. How are those Lutencia Clios so quick? Especially Flaky's?
How the f:censored: does he do it? And to those who called me aggressive, I'll have you know, I got knocked around out there, too. I expected this sort of thing coming into the race earlier, with Madrid being a street circuit and all. Our preseason street race on Clubman Stage Route 5 saw mayhem, no questioning that. But nothing like this. Larger Clio fields = chaos, chaos, and more chaos!

Car nerd reflex!!!! Lutecias are the Japanese name for Clios.

How do you get a Lutecia?

They're no different than the Clio. The Lutecia is just a different branding that Renault used when exporting the cars to Japan and other countries. The two cars are identical in the game.

You have to wait for them to come up in the used car lot or OCD. or have someone send one to you.

Here's my car's tune for madrid (with new ballast for next week):

Well, I'm not doing it professionally, (even tho I'd love to:() I just go to my local karting track once in a while and always try to get closer to the track record...

And, BTW, flaky is just a very fast driver, his tune is similar to mine. 👍

Race 1 reports:

No penalties are given, a fair bit of agressive driving almost everywhere but in the long run nothing worth making such a big deal of. Braunracing however will have another warning added to the bunch for the last lap incident involving Sparkytooth. It's common sense that when a driver is ahead of you you'll need to brake that earlier. From my view, if he braked earlier, it wasn't enough which, to make a long story short, caused Sparky to go wide enough to allow Braun to make a pass. Looking at the replay, and even with lag in mind, Sparky goes from about 90km/h to about 110km/h. Lag may affect the shown speed but not by this much.

Results:

Mel
Braun

Moving to race 2 👍
