Are any of these improvements to the wheel to do with the paddle shifters? The paddles on my GT3RSv2 work fine, but they are VERY mushy if pulled from too far off of the actual button. Occasionally this makes for missed shifts depending on wheel and hand position because when you pull the paddle it just mushes in and doesnt actually 'click' the button...

Reason for the delays are many imporvements on the quality of the wheels. And even if it breaks, we will have enough replacement wheels now.

Good to hear about the quality.

It's good to see you post on here. Let people know whats going on. Also got the email from fanatec updating me. It made me sad that it got pushed back, but it's good to know why.

Hi , if i have the ffb turned up high in gt5 and on the wheel it starts to do some squeaky noise is this normal ? , the wheel works fine and im driving with less ffb right now since im a bit worried.

i can recall reading somewhere before that all wheels do that noise , but im not sure if i dreamt it :)

thx

(this is a gt3rs v2 wheel)

After 5 months of debating, reading reviews and trying to fit the wheel into the budget I ordered mine on 5/11 along with the shifter set... Cannot wait! I remember upgrading from a MS FF wheel to an ACT Labs belt drive wheel ages ago and the difference in Mobil1 Rally Championship and SCGT was amazing (yes, I know old school but still great games!). I hope it'll be a similar experience going from a G25 to the GT2...
The only thing that kinda upset me was that the shifter went down in price by $20. Not a tragedy, just annoying. Wonder if I should ask to get a store credit from Fanatec towards a later purchase of CS Pedals...

WTG! 👍
I'm still vacillating between the Thrustmaster T500RS and the GT2. Out of curiousity please let us know how long it takes you to receive your items from date of order!

I do not think it would be out of line for you to ask for a $20 credit or refund since the shifter price dropped only a few days after your purchase. and, of course, it cannot hurt to ask!
(if you do make attempt i would also like to know how they deal with this issue.)

This is a matter of taste. We did not change anything there.

interesting....are the same paddles used on the GT2? iirc, they are supposed to be identical between the two wheels? i think i have read a few other posts about the paddles? i need to look that up. maybe this is why Fanatec sells other sets of paddles?
:)

Patrocales,

Why is your choice between a GT2 and Thrustmaster?

You know the GT3 is cheaper.
If it's xbox support you want then you have no option.

I'm sure you are aware, I'm just curious.

Hi,
First, I am not well versed in all of the wheel options.
Yes, I have an Xbox360,PS3, and PC and I wanted one wheel to work on all three platforms (GT2+CP).
However, all the stories about the GT2 delays, shipping problems, wheel replacement issues, customer support, etc. have made me skittish. This combined with the "how much do I really need to play FM4 on Xbox360 when it is released?" I have FM3 but I never play it because I am a spaz on driving games with the gamepad.

Actually, I never looked at the GT3 wheel! :dunce: I have been stupid and blinded by my "one wheel to rule them all" (haha) mantra. I will have to do this over the next few weeks to check reviews, prices, player comments, etc.

Make the most of your three platforms and go for the GT2, you won't regret when you play Forza... Or if not, there are LOCAL shops where the T500 is a bargain for a bit more than 400$ (USD), the downside is the H shifter, but the good of this thing is in its savage force feedback

If you're on the fence and haven't ordered yet maybe it is ok to wait til E3, see if anything new is announced to sway you one way or the other & then order.

Thrustmaster, Fanatec, and some other wheel makers are confirmed to be there

Of course there's the risk Forza 4 E3 revelations totally sends a bunch of fans into a frenzy and Fanatec gets even more overwhelmed with orders

I'm personally ok with waiting on E3 since I have my t500rs & I most likely wont purchase FM4 when it releases. I never have purchased a Forza title at Day 1. I got too many other non-racing titles coming out in the Fall timeframe that will keep me busy

Hey Thomas any new news on when the GT2 wheels will be shipping? Last we heard they were supposed to arrive stateside on May 24...did it actually happen? I'm getting antsy knowing the wheel could be here soon...

Woohooo your reply was right! I just got the email at 645 this morning saying my wheel will ship now. No tracking numbers yet, so I doubt I'll have it by the end of the week, but maybe we'll get lucky and as a courtesy they will use expedited shipping since it took so long to arrive.

Are you new to Fanatec?

GhostXR
....ACT Labs belt drive wheel ....Mobil1 Rally Championship...

Still trying to recapture the emotional thrill that was this combo many years ago. It was my intro into driving games.

A buddy of mine who ordered in late feb/early march texted me earlier to say that his GT2 and pedals were on their way from california finally.

Don't worry, its worth the wait. I have enjoyed more than five solid months of racing nirvana with my Fanatec GT2 wheel. Add the Clubsport pedals at some point and you will be in sim racing heaven.
