Another GT game for PSX?

I was wondering,
I've read around, is the game GT2000 an actual game and if it is, is it for PS1 or 2 thx.

GT2000 was the original working title for the GT3, and was announced in the build-up to the PS2.

Originally intended as basically a PS2 graphic update to GT2, the title was changed as what became GT3 increasingly became a true sequel for GT2.

It was and is PS2 only.

Interesting point though. Have all PSOne (X ... whatever) developers dropped the platform and moved to PS2, or is anyone left developing for the older platform? And other consoles as well ... like N64 or DreamCast.

Hmm... the last previews or reviews at http://www.videogames.com are:

Looks like nothin' at all is going on for N64 and it's slow for DC and PSX owners. I still play the DC but haven't bought anything for any of the above 3 for ages.

There are about 100 or less developers currently making PsOne games, as now most of them have moved onto the Ps2.

And I doubt it that another GT game would come out on PSX, PS2 is just the standard now.
