Hi,
I'm just wondering what anti-aliasing is. Is it jagged lines? Will it be improved in GT4, or do I have to wait for the PS3 and GT5 or 6 to see improvement?
Thanks
Paddy.

aliasing is the jaggy lines
anti-aliasing reduces the jaggies
i have herd somewhere the anti-aliasing will be improved in gt4
but i have seen some screenies which have some bad jaggies
but on normal tvs there not so noticable

Yeah, but in most screenshots there are jaggies anyays, created by the camera or the software they use to layout the magazine.

Only if they use cheap software or don't know what they're doing.

Screw the window! They should try using the front door!:D

So it would make a difference in what TV you're going to be playing on, won't it?

Well Anti Aliasing will never eliminate jaggies completely, in some angles there are going to be jaggies everywhere, and other'jaggies "seemingly" no where. Jaggies were most noticable IMO in the skyline RX-7 and Z concept in GT3, as for those screenshots, they don't hardly account for what GT3 will REALLY look like. No copy will ever look like the original.

Yeah, I noticed in the GT3 intro, when they show the Arta NSX for the first time, that the wheel-well has some SERIOUS jaggies, it's not circular but rather a series of straight lines angled to make a semi-circle.

With luck 4 will get rid of this.
