Could possibly be a new set of races and/or the GT Academy having its 3rd (2nd) round.

Well, I'll be optimistic and wait for more than that... as they said something about some cars that didn't made it to the release (like the VW Scirocco) and that thing we've heard about the release of the BMW 1M on GT5... maybe they'll bring these to us because this time they really take long since the last update.

let's see... as I said, I'm just being optimistic, but I'm really waiting for some new content.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm expecting the patch to be a let down

Agreed, I believe people are thinking it will be a big update with all new stuff but think about it this way. Last update was called "Huge" from the words of PD and all that was in it was online dealer and seasonal races. Their doesn't seem to be to much buzz about this update from PD so i don't think it will be anything special.

Performance Points alone would make this patch fantastic and far from a let down. Here's hoping for PP! 👍

Different folks, different strokes

I really don't want the PP to be included, and if they will be, please let me decide whether I use em or not.
It sucks for grinding, and when I want some competition, I'm pretty confident I can come up with something myself (like using a slower car then everyone else)

forget added features, just make the game work properly first. Too many bugs and glitches.

Those are both significant additions in my opinion.

About Friday's patch, I have not heard anything definite but personally I hope they finally get the online racing right. PSN should be an embarrassment for Sony regarding the GT5 online experience: black screens, unexpected disconnections (5 times in 1/2 hour), painfully slow loading times, etc. How many times have we joined an interesting room just to find out we have 35 (well actually 25) seconds to enter, and it takes 20 seconds to finish loading the room? My connection speed is fine and this is very frustrating. Anyway that's what I hope they get right in this update.

As far as I reckon, allowing players to grind money enough for an FGT once every week is a pretty big deal.

Hopefully not. The game has a hard enough time keeping 16 people connected at a time on a heavy traffic night like Friday or Saturday.

Ah who cares, when people get bored of gt5 and the servers are down 1/10th of what they used to be in traffic we will still have 32 players.

Hey guys, I haven't updated to 1.05 due to me not having a PS3 yet as Im waiting for a new PS3, if I update to 1.06, Will I recieve the content from the last update such as the Online Dealership and Seasonal Events?:dunce:

What if they kill wall riding on Indy! I heard they were changing crash physics and 'cheating' shortcuts.
Then we can't autogrind 20m credits a night anymore!
That would be tragic in epic proportions!

What I wish most for is the integration of Arcade Mode style races into the GT mode, so you can have competitive races with your favorite cars and earn CR/XP! It's not hard to do.

Yes, the PS3 will download all previous patches including 1.06. You won't miss out on any features.
