It's about 8pm PST, anything new?

PSN is up in NYC...nothing new for now...just the muscle car championship...which is still pretty cool given most people (me included) hadn't seen it..

Awesome, I bought a bunch of muscle cars during the outage.

The Toscana track for the muscle car seasonal is awesome, not as cool as the Lambo challenge, but still pretty cool. I'm just glad to be back online for the seasonals

agreed...toscana in the cobra is an adventure!

The muscle car ones are fun, while maybe too easy with the necessary adjustable transmission.

How much money does the muscle car event give out?

This set has some play-balance issues, moreso than others of recent vintage. The Daytona race is a slam dunk if you've upgraded the tranny because the AIs spend the whole race bouncing off their limiters. Indy, same thing. Cape Ring has no tranny issues, but has the standard Cape problem with the AI being dead slow on the cloverleaf. The Laguna Seca and Toscana races, by contrast, are good stuff. So far I've managed silver at Laguna Seca with a '69 Corvette convertible, sports softs and an oil change. Finished 2 secs behind the leader and am not sure I can make that up without a bolt-on or two. Bronzed Toscana before the outage, don't remember in what car (Shelby GT500 w/6 spd?), do remember that the race was intense.

good for making money :)

grinder mode : on

Daytona 5 laps 10,700cr

...Really? If this was a typo and was meant to say 100,700cr then hello new grinding method.

Since when has PSN been up? Certainly wasn't 5 minutes ago...

Only the US so far.

Oh. Goddamn America gets everything first, even if Europe is their biggest market :P

I'm not trolling honestly (I seem to spend a lot of time defending GT5 and PD on these forums) but why is there still only one seasonal update that was already in place before the outage? Surely the seasonal content is created offline, then put online? I don't see why the outage would stop PD preparing several more seasonals, something nice to come back to.

Perhaps they need to "test" the events prior to making them available to everyone so are doing that now, I hope so anyway. I don't see how PSN being down equates to them not having to bother to add any content.

There is an update to download so i'm guessing it won't be too much longer before its up in the UK.

Downloaded v3.61 but still under maintenance in Ireland

Yeah I got the update too, seem to be taking a little longer to roll out other stuff in Europe though.

OCD anyone can tell them please?

New events are stupid IMO. I tried to do them in a lightly modded superbird but ended up using my RM Camaro. Too much fighting the car to stay on the road.

Just finished doing the Muscle Car Champ in my highly modded Cougar and it was a breeze to say the least..might go back n replay them with a 71 Charger with only upgrading the tranny n maybe tires

The short answer to OP's question:

No:grumpy:

Did anybody else find the Muscle Car events less than fun? I hate to say it, but they almost felt like grinding. The Toscana track was great, but I felt the others lacking. Maybe it was because everything was 5 laps. Knocking it down to three would make the events much more fun. I would venture to say that most racers don't want to lose, so they tend to use max-power cars. Maybe tire restrictions would help, too.

I did them with 69 camero, 500pp, sport/med, stock trans, fixed sport susp.. Toscana was the best.
but using these settings made it better, if you mess up a couple times early you wont catch 1st till the last lap on Toscana. gonna drop the pp alittle more later. as long as its up.

yup OCD is the same

Good to know , how about Bob's that are/ were left online?
I have been saving cash for 2 cars pre PSN outage and I'd like to use the cash on them. So , are the Bob's okey?

I used the Camaro too, but I hate running on stock (usually 4 speed) trans, so I upgraded and then took pp down to 475 to compensate a little. Took the lead early in the last lap so might try with a little less power next time. I seem to have a lot of eligible cars around the 450pp level, but these are all stock, so might need some performance items adding first.

Yes they are ok, I cashed them all and put one offline, we never know :)

I did them all I think in my tuned up Cougar - though not fully hp upgraded. Indy road course makes me sick, so that's the only one I found at all disagreeable.
But I think the muscle car seasonal has just way too much of the 'one car to beat' thing going on.

And the K-cup is still the best credits/time ratio for grinding.

The OCD has changed. K cars are out and French cars are in. Guess we know our next seasonal.
