Any Non-Dupers out there?

I don't dupe/trade also. A 35 and B 39, garage is filled with 913 cars (902 unique and 11 double). Done lots of Bspec Dream Car events -> check used cars -> check excel sheet and see which cars I don't have yet -> buy cars -> start over :p

No dupes and no gifts, only because I had no need for it but I don't care if someone else does.

I wouldnt know where to start with duping and I dont trade. Im level 34 A and 35 B. 120 Premium and 267 Standard = 387 cars. Its only taken me like... 500 hours :crazy:
 
Don't dupe, glitch, phony b-spec grind, cheat, trade, or play online. I just earn, pay, drive, and learn to tune. Don't care if anyone else does any of the above either. (Trades are fine, its just that the market is full of dupers so I don't bother looking.)

They always have cheaters and hackers just like theives and criminals people want to put alot of work into shortcuts.
 
I've always wondered if duping works (before I read this thread), but the only reason I'd ever do it would be to tune one and keep one stock for personal use. Heck, if I knew about duping I wouldn't have had to trade to get a second Veyron!

So while I'd never dupe just to get 'dirty credits', I am a small-time trader. Not really unfair in my opinion unless you get like a duped X2010 before winning one. My A spec level is 24 (I think), B spec 1 (I can't stand the mode.) I'd guess I have about 100 cars, with 30 being premium.

248 cars in my garage, all the 20M Cr cars, both Ferrari's F1, Miura, all three X2010 received from golding Vettel's event and golding pretty much everything else, as I've already got the Gold Standard trophy

Will probably trade for certain cars once I start playing online. I've got an itch to drive an 86 MR2 after seeing one on Craigslist the other day...but it hasn't turned up in my game in the past week. Of course I showed my wife how to play and it was the first car to appear in the UCD at 20,195 or something just above the initial 20,000 credits she had to start.
 
I've never duped or traded...heck, I haven't even played online yet except for using the online dealership and doing seasonal events, if that even counts. I started the night this game came out - it was the reason I bought a PS3.

All of my cars are full-tuned with racing hard/soft and sport hard/soft options. Most of my standards are something that caught my eye, which probably doesn't help narrow things down for anyone else lol.

My dumbest purchase was the X2010...already had the freebie for hitting 35 B-Spec and just had to have a lower mileage one for A-Spec driving (bob put over 50k on the freebie already)...such a bore to drive. It's nice for grinding Indy endurance, but I think I am going to enjoy the 4h Nurburging ring in a competitive car much more.
 
I've never duped but I might. I've made 2 trades, 1 for a X2010 for Bob and 1 for a Gt-40, my all time favorite car.

I have no issue with how people use a plastic disc they paid $60 for.

Only duped the 370z GT Academy Edition since it can only be obtained through the lvl. 12 ticket. Clean otherwise.

nope, today i kept dupeing my '68 b day ticket untill i got the p330 and 2d race cars :dopey:

might try a '70 or '92 b day ticket tomorrow

A spec Level 28 ( I stopped trying to go up once I had reached a level where I could earn sufficient cash to fund my operations, around level 19.)

B spec Level 9 ( waiting for GT anywhere for this one. )

Not really interested in trying to collect all of them just the ones I want but I wont sell anything won so I have around 30 that collect dust. The others are fully modded and in some cases have all the available parts, ( all 3 exhausts, all air filters, all 3 turbos, multiple tire choices etc ).
 
I dont dupe nor trade. I bought all my cars the old fashioned way. Frankly i dont see the point of collecting colored cars like the X1s...seriously???with zero miles??? wow...comeon now...i guess whatever floats their boat.

I must say, I'm impressed with the number of "non-cheaters" that have appeared :)
I wonder how many of the dupe-defenders are somehow intimidated by people who can exercise self-control and not "cheat" in this manner. It's all very interesting, psychologically speaking, although this doesn't apply to me, since I fall under the "ridiculously lazy" category. :dopey:

A-Spec 28 / B-Spec too low to count.

I have only two game saves. I have not used the birthday glitch on my main game, I have never received anything by trades or by gifting (and I've been offered quite a few things that I've refused) and I only opened a second save to troll through the UCD for cars I missed on my first go-through (the older Alpine hasn't come back around yet on the main save).

I don't dupe because if I suddenly had an X2010 or FGT before I'd "earned" it, I would simply blast through the game too quickly to enjoy all the flavors of cars there are.

Strange, isn't it, that I'm seen as one of the bigger dupe-defenders on the board. :lol:

And yet, as a moderator, I would be remiss if I didn't remind everyone here that this thread is merely asking whether or not you dupe. Any rants about "cheaters" and "criminals" will be deleted. (As an aside... thieves? Who are they stealing from? Digital pixies?) We have quite enough threads on the subject, already.

I did made a few trades a while ago, but trading should be part of the game. It's the other stuff we don't need. I do like searching the shops for good cars. I really don't care if I have 1000 or 100 or 10. I just would rather not "steal" them.

don't dupe cars or ticckets, was gonna try and trade for a 2J but ended up not going through with it cuz i eventually won the event. So yea... everything in my garage is from lots and lots of racing :)

The game rises or falls on its own merit. If I am FORCED to exploit it because it's a stupidly structured game, then it's a stupidly structured game and I just won't play it.

I'm giving PD until Shift 2 comes out. They could EASILY add in 200-400 new A-Spec events, with reward cars and XP similar to current A-Spec, and then you wouldn't HAVE to grind OR dupe. Tons of cars not used. Plenty of unused track layouts. In fact, I am ashamed at how the Seasonals simply duplicated (hey! duping is endemic in GT5!) races that A-Spec already had... Miata's at Tsukuba? Jeez, are they all brain dead at PD?

This game could be fixed. Easily. TOO easily, apparently, for Kaz and PD. They cannot see the forest for the (two dimensional) trees.

You know, I would kind of be interested in hearing if anyone wouldn't dupe or cheat IF there were sufficient events that you didn't NEED to? What proportion of dupers are only doing it because there's nothing BETTER to do? I don't know about you, but I'd rather RACE to make 1000 cars than dupe to do it...
 
I stopped trading as soon as the update that allowed copying. I knew people would figure out something like this, so i decided that trading was no longer meaningful. I have a backup account, but that is only so i can complete the game, wheel only and have an account with an empty friend list just for the Drift Tournament.. My two PSNs aren't even friends... lol

no duping, no trading, i'm earning and buying race cars either premium or standard ... almost honestly :)

at A-lvl 30 and B-lvl 29 I have many interesting cars to test tune and race online, i.e. 70 favorites and I can't give all of them the appropriate attention.

i say "almost" because I glitched for these magnificent '67 race cars ( anly these ones ), and now I regret it : even if the 330 p4 is nothing short of orgasmic and I've always loved the Chap 2d, I now believe that conquering them without glitch would have been much more fun.
