👍

2000 cars in one account and ~340 cars in main account.

Do you have any time left to, you know, actually play the game? Or do you just spend your days duping and griding?

I really don't get the point, how is that in any way fun?

👍 great topic - it's good to know that others don't particularly agree with this!

a-spec = level 17
b-spec = level 40
cars = 300
(118 premium, 172 standard - still updating my list with the online car database i've linked so you can view my cars)

i only have one ps3 account...

i've traded once - but that was simply to pass along a duplicate formula gran turismo i won from a prize ticket so i could get some chrome/matte/color shift paint i didn't have...

i'll trade again - i'm on a mini-mission to acquire one of every car, and i don't see any issues with trading off any duplicates i legitimately end up with in order to get other items on a 'replacement' sort of basis...

i'll never work the loopholes in the games in order to more quickly stockpile cars/paint/credits - i have no interest in achieving my little mini-mission in a manner that i don't condone...

i do 'farm' certain b-spec races - especially the 'dream car championship' - in order to accumulate bunches of credits to go shopping...

(it's likely that i may end up with cars or paint that people are trading to me that they've duplicated, but i don't have any influence over how they choose to manage things - all i know is that i'm not doing anything like that. i'm not even quitting and restarting the game in order to try and get better 'special paint' prizes every thirty cars i put in my garage...)

At first, I was one of those people that said screw duping.

But now that I'm close to reaching the 20 mil credit limit, I'm going to dupe the cars that cost 20 mil credits.

Call me a cheat or whatever, I just don't have the time to grind for another 20 mil when school is in full swing.

But to those that have collected cars without duping, I give them a kudos.

Yes, I'm a non-duper. In fact, I don't even know what duping is & don't want to either!

I don't dupe. Mainly because I'm too lazy to do so and virtual cars aren't important enough for me to waste my time duping for.

No duping here. I have borrowed cars to complete races that I couldn't afford though. I borrowed a DTM car for the recent seasonal and the DTM races in A-Spec. That's it.

A - 28
B - 21

It's interesting to see how many people come out of the woodwork to defend their duping. I never once said it was a bad thing. Or cheating. I could care less if people dupe. If that's what you consider fun then more power to you. I was just interested to see what other people who play like I do were up to.

You don't need to defend yourself. It's ok cause it's just a game.

No duping here to. But I gift cars from my first account to my 2nd account. As everybody knows it's very easy to earn a lot of credits with the seasonal events. It means I play the game in paralel. I'm just using my first account to buy cars thanks to the credits earned with seasonal events. The 2 second account is my main account. This is just fine as long as there will be seasonal events of course.

A-28
B-9
+- 150 cars

I don't just don't like grinding and b-spec.

*couldn't. ;)

This is my first post but after seeing this thread can't resist to say that i don't do it. It's just me but that's kinda "fake", driving with a dupe car?
BUT, i'm willing to trade any of my car collection for a 370Z Tuned (GT Academy version). Just name what (1) car you like, I'll add you on my friends list.

A-Spec: 38
B-Spec: 8

Premium cars: 69
Standard cars: 178
(Proud to my hard earn driving)
Thanks.

No duping or trading and I try my best to race cleanly even in A spec. I bought this game and a DFGT so that I can challenge myself, enter races with underpowered cars, improve my skills, and get a feeling of accomplishment when I finally win. I am not even doing seasonal events until I finish A spec because the credit/exp amounts would greatly skew the progress.

To each his own, but I'm having a ton of fun playing this way. If it's fun for you to beat all the A spec races with the X2010 then go for it. Play however you want and have fun and don't listen to everybody that's telling you how you SHOULD play.

Going OT, but here is a nice Englishman to tell you:
[vid]
...

I know the logic. I'm a nice Englishman, too. The usage of "could care less", whilst defying logic in the literal sense, is idiomatic. Like "Good bye". Almost no-one means "God be with you" when they say it, and literally "good bye" is nonsensical in its commonly used context.
What escapes me, though, is a convincing etymological link for "I could care less" that explains the establishment of an otherwise illogical phrase as an idiom. But, realistically, it's probably just been mis-heard and repeated and / or made worse through laziness. Just like "good bye". In a way, this little excursion off-topic has been a rather good bye, in my opinion. :sly:

----

I must say, I'm impressed with the number of "non-cheaters" that have appeared :)
I wonder how many of the dupe-defenders are somehow intimidated by people who can exercise self-control and not "cheat" in this manner. It's all very interesting, psychologically speaking, although this doesn't apply to me, since I fall under the "ridiculously lazy" category. :dopey:

Just wondering if anyone else is out there like me, just to enjoy the ride?

I don't dupe or trade, simply because i love the thrill of finding new cars, earning them the traditional way.

I don't however hold a grudge or mind if other people dupe. I race with the same people all the time that are hardcore dupers (some of them) I just don't feel the need.

So all you non-dupers out there, what's your specs?

A - 27
B - 15

Premium Cars 44
Standard Cars 75

I don't dupe, nor do I care if others do it, as long as they don't bring up how much further in the game they are.

A- 29
B - 15
About 110 cars, 35 or so premium.

I think once I complete all the races, I might start, just so I can collect all the cars that I want to have in my garage so I can enjoy driving them.

Never dupe,
always drive with no assists, if can't beat some event in that way, probably that's the way it should be.

A 32
B 8

Only thing that worries me that one day I reach 40 level, and I don't like the cap on it.
