Any Non-Dupers out there?

I have not duped anything, nor used a glitch to get the 67's etc. I do like the idea of trading and I am sure the x2010 I got may have been duped( didn't care so I didn't ask). But hey it's just a video game and I'd be lying if I said I was totally above exploiting video games. No one here ever used a trainer in Diablo 1? Or how about got rid of your wanted level in GTA. As long as you're having fun who really cares, especially if it's someone elses game.

Haven't duped any cars, given a few away, never received. I get a kick out of going to the UCD and finding that car I need. 👍

A Spec - 40
B Spec - 40

Cars - 1040+

You know, I would kind of be interested in hearing if anyone wouldn't dupe or cheat IF there were sufficient events that you didn't NEED to? What proportion of dupers are only doing it because there's nothing BETTER to do? I don't know about you, but I'd rather RACE to make 1000 cars than dupe to do it...

I know I wouldn't do it anymore. Which is why I quit playing GT5 for now until something is fixed. There's no need to cheat at GT3 and GT4 because they're well-structured games.

Been duping it up for a while now! It feels so good once you give in to it!  Since I like to keep a stock version of my car and weight reduction/engine tune cannot be undone I dupe a copy of the car I want so I can have a stock & tuned version of each car. The "thrill" of constantly checking the UCD got so old after a few weeks I just don't care to do it anymore. Once I get a car I want, it's duped and then tuned.

Not following this warped logic, having two cars one in original condition and one tuned? As if this virtual string of a little code is so unique that it must be preserved in its original package and not soiled by virtual road, dust and km.

This reminds me of a rapper spoof from GTV who buys 20 ferraries of the same color just because he can. Funneh!

Got 4m credits and 230 ish cars in the garage. No dupes, no glitches, no back ups :s Traded a few paints with a mate just so I can have my fleet all shiney and black :D

Their aint nothing wrong with taking a back up matey. I'm as anti-dupe as they come but even I've got a USB stick with half a dozen backups from various games.

Losing all my Uncharted 2 MP credits and weapons?.....nah, don't think so.

But then again i'm an IT Engineer who has learnt to be very paranoid with saving data.

 I hope that USB stick doesn't die on you then :scared:

No trading, duping, scamming, glitches, nothing.
I back up my save file every couple days in case my original 60GB fatty PS3 buys the farm someday, but I don't use it to alter the game at all.
28 A-spec
14 B-spec
100 cars (40P/60S) not approximations, thats my actual car count right now

I really don't get all that worked up about it when I read about other dupers, I just enjoy playing the game as it was designed. Complaints about having to play "too much" to afford certain cars/wait for them in the UCD don't make sense to me. I love playing GT games, I'll be playing it a lot no matter what, and waiting for the right cars adds a fun element. Dupers will only bother me if it causes the backup save file option to be removed...

I'm a non duper, I get my cars buy racing. If I suddenly had every car I want without having to do much of anything to get them, I would get bored with the game pretty quickly. For me it just feels better when I do it this way. To each his own though.

No duping, glitching or cheating whatsoever
A-spec level 35
B-spec level 38
673 cars in garage

The chances of my USB stick and my PS3 dying at the same time is very slim. I think I'm going to be OK.

The chances of my PS3 hard drive dying, ( launch day 60gb PS3 with it's original HDD ) is probably quite high. I don't recall owning many HDDs that lasted more then about 5 or 6 years.

i find duping = cheating and bday glitch = cheating. just my opinion.
i hope theres a way for PD to trace those people and ban them or something. its just stupid.

anyways no dup here.

Aspec 33
Bspec 40

over 300 cars 99% street cars.
i dont like race cars or rm's

No duping or glitching here. I did work a trade for the Nismo GT-R LM road car because I got tired of looking for it after almost 3 months. Of course, a couple days after I worked the trade, it finally shows up in the UCD.

No trading, no glitch, no sharing, and my birthday car will be The Stigs bed wetting nightmare.

A:31
B:40
Cars: 299

Never duped, glitched, traded, or did that rubberband thing.

A 29
B 10

about 120 cars

I grind my way to the cars I want. I enjoy racing with my G27, and each time I randomly pick a race to finish. Also depends how much time I have of course. In case I really do want the money for a cool (and usually expensive) car in online shop or 2nd hand garage I race the oval a couple of times, not often though.

Duping reminds me of the Amiga times where I used to play platforms with unlimited lives. I really does take out the fun for me and I lose interest quickly.

I just like to race and like the idea of progressing, even if it is at a slow pace. And when I finally buy an expensive car am proud to have it. Then again I'm also a RPG fan, and quite used to grinding and slowly advancing to higher levels.

But each to his own. I am glad however there are more non-dupers out there :)

A 32 B 33 here, HATE all kind of getting 100% by some trick which have been found and then whining why game doesn't have that that and that thing:yuck: It's quite nice feeling when boughting Ferrari F1 to garage with credits which have take a while to play and race.

Only one thing we non-cheaters have, we don't suffer of garages moving invisible and sudden 'I LOST MY SAVEDATA' calls from people while they have done duping:)

I never dupe, it isn't fun =P I'm:

A-Spec: 21
B-Spec: 1

In other words, I find B-Spec boring, driving is the fun part ;D As for number of cars, I don't have that many, around 30 or 40 I'd think =P

Nope, no duping here either. I just dont see the point and have better things to do with my time than worry about it. Duping is just another indicator of our societies insatiable instant gratification complex. I dont think I am better because I dont do it. I do see it similar to those that buy a gaming guide and follow it verbatim to complete a game. You didn't earn it...

My most expensive cars are the C9 and the FGT. They pretty much wiped out my money. Waiting for the next Seasonal session to upgrade my monies. :-) Given the poor design and execution of this "premium" game, it would not surprise me that once the Seasonals stop coming I stop playing the game.

There are a bunch of arguments both ways but you have the "who cares" group, the "Its bad, hmmm kay" group and the "whats duping" group...LOL!

I really can't be bothered to dupe anything or take the risk of managing and deleting multiple saves. When I buy a car, I usually drive it a lot, get to know it and work on it. So I don't need to franticly catch 'em all. I just wait until I accumulate credits and can afford a new toy.

I have absolutely no interest in duping (or trading). To me, the point of the "game" part (as opposed to the simulation part) of GT5 is to race for credits that let you buy and upgrade cars. If I just duped every car I wanted then it would pretty much kill that aspect of the game for me.

Like most folks I want to have all the multi-million credit race cars, but unlike many people I am willing to take my time in getting them. I really enjoy browsing the UCD to see what new goodies have shown up there. Sometimes I won't have the credits to get a car I want, but it's no big deal to wait until next time it rolls around. I've already got way more cars than I can drive anyway (almost 300).

Bottom line, if I started duping all the cars I wanted then I would feel like I was cheating myself out of a good deal of the enjoyment the game has to offer.

A-Spec - 34
B-Spec - 23
