any XBOX360 owner thinking of purchasing a new PS3?

hello guys just wanted to know how many xbox360 owner is going to buy a PS3, and why/why not you will buy a PS3?

I have a Xbox 360 and a PS3, and I'm glad I have both. The two are better and worse in areas between each other, but it's worth it.

But for reasons on why/why not you will buy a PS3, I say look in the PS3/Xbox 360 discussion threads, instead of this thread potentially becoming another one...

Only time I'd consider a PS3 is when GT5 comes out... other than that, probably not.

I bought a PS2 for Grand Theft Auto 3 & Gran Turismo. With Grand Theft Auto 4 being released on the XB360 anyway I've got some tough choices to make. I want to play Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out but I'm hoping that the PS3 will drop in price at Christmas.

Same here, I plan on buying a PS3 around the time of GT5's release, which is supposed to be in the summer of 08. There isn't much that is coming out the PS3 that I would really want to play other then perhaps God of War III when it comes out in a couple of years.

Until then I'm happy with my X360 and the Wii, but I'm not opposed to buying a PS3 at some point in time. I just can not justify the $600 right now.

Growing up commited to PS1 and PS2 its surprising for me to say this......
My girlfriend and I have had our 360s for around 8 months and we are extremely happy with them. There are more great games on this console than we can even keep up with playing and many more great games coming out. I just dont see any games on the PS3 that interrest me at all. Maybe in a year or 2 if a few good games come out to justify the purchase then I might consider a PS3 to add to our collection. But right now I dont see that happening for a long time. Especially with GTA4 coming out the 360. If GTA4 would have only been on the PS3 then I would have bought the PS3 just for that game.
I have nothing against the PS3 at all and never have. The 360 just has everything we could want as gamers. 👍
I guess my vote could have went in the other section since I could possbily buy a PS3 some day.

I already have both - extremely pleased with both too! But i have to say - i still play my 360 alot more than my ps3 - but thats due to more games available at the moment

Same situation. Personally, I don't think the PS3 is worth the $600 now, but in several months when Lair, Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk, Home, etc come out, it will.

I love my 360 but there will be a big gap in my heart when GT5 comes out. So I will get ps3 eventually but only when it goes down in price to 300 dollars or less. In the mean time I believe Forza 2 will keep me busy.

I've got the exact trouble! Me and my brother already saved up for the PS3 but the only game that makes us want to buy the PS3 is Gran Turismo 5 and Tekken 6 and it got us thinking is it worth to buy a $1000 AUD console for just 2 games.....
