Well if I remember correctly for the Begginer Vitz race

I had
Yaris RS 1.5
Race Muffler
Brake Kit
Computer Chip
Port Polish
Everything in the gears section
no turbo kit
Super Hard Tyres
All Weight Reduction

Today for a test I tried out a standard euro vitz out in that race and got killed. I tuned the euro vitz fully with N/A and it seemed the same spec as the CPU`s. It seems that the AI always goes for the N/A tune if there is a choice

All right, I have to come right out and say it.

I LOVE MY PINK VITZ.

Well, OK, so I decided to spend a little money on the Vitz, and now I like it. I like the styling and the color - it sure stands out in the crowd. I always did like the handling, but the Valium-tuned drivetrain was killing me. Unfortunately I didn't know about the "virgin oil change" trick when I first got it, so I'm down a little on potential horsepower. I went Stage II turbo and some other work for a total HP of about 270 or so.

I ran the Beginner Vitz cup and ended up detuning the car to about 230 hp to avoid owning the competition. I did win all 5 with about a 1-2" margin, driving easily and toying with them a little. I ran Super Slicks, and used the race transmission to shorten the gearing (because the stock 5spd is so T-A-L-L). Since I had an HP advantage, I never used 6th gear, to be fairer. In retrospect, I wish I had gone with a full N/A buildup for this series, and just taken advantage of the racing transmission, instead of turboing it.

But having gone from frustration to fun in one evening, I must say I'm looking forward to running the Amateur Vitz series. I think that will be my first amateur race.

I don't seem to recall an Amateur Vitz race. Just the Beginner and professional. Have fun in the Pro series. Post up how you did.

I'd be interested to see it. I have no way of telling how good/bad I am. Have been meaning to post some times at GTvault and compare.

Wups, correction. Whatever the upper level Vitz series is...

If it's Pro, I may or may not try to run it soon, since I haven't run any Amateur stuff yet. I really need to up my license class. But I will be sure to post my results. I haven't checked out GTvault yet but you're right, it would be nice to have a benchmark. Maybe I'll do some free runs with the same setup and post those here for comparison.

I've won a pink and an orange Yaris (that's what Vitz is known as in Europe) and I have them both still in my garage. I drive with my pink yaris all the time. j/k..
