I am playing both almost daily. Would love to hear from anyone else who is too.

i think you are on the wrong forum..this is for GT5 users...

They are out there. But most people on this forum only play GT5. I don't want to say ONLY, but I think you know what I mean.

I'm playing both GT5 and FM4... I'm level 40 in GT5 and level 59 in FM4. I'm a much better driver in GT5, but i think that's because of my familiarity of the controller. Anyways, I just started doing rivals stuff and haven't figured out how to make it a money machine as people say it is - maybe because I'm not good enough to earn the big $.

Both games are really fun!

I was originally going to do this, but then I played Forza 4 and it put me off. So now it's only GT5 for me.

Yes, I play both Forza 4 and GT5, they're both great games. I also play other racing games such as Race Pro, Dirt 3 and Shift 2. I think Forza 4 is a big improvement over Forza 3, they've made the game even better now, the graphics, physics and car selection have improved a lot. :D

Although, you shouldn't really have posted this thread in this section of GTP, there are a lot of hardcore, GT5 worshipping, anti-Forza people on here. Try the Console & PC Gaming section instead. 👍

Perhaps you did not read the question?

Guess you did not either? :)

Thanks, and I see that your advice holds true. This is a great site so I was hoping to find some of my friends here who are also on the other side. I will check out the other forum as well.

I did see a video of FM4 gameplay and I got to say it looks solid. I dont hate on it....it's a game. Its sole purpose is to entertain you, I cant hate on something like that. If I had a Xbox, I'd definately play it. I do recommend the forza forums thought as you will find FM4 people there easily. 👍

You'll find a fair amount of people who play both, but as already mentioned, ForzaPlanet is typically better for discussing that game, or of course, the small section we still have here.

I have to request two things, however:

  • Why do you have two accounts? Only one will do, here.
  • Please use the multi-quote or edit feature when responding to multiple people instead of quadruple-posting

:)

I think you need to expand your horizons a little.

The OP said both titles, so that would include GT5 (which kind of makes your point redundant).

Secondly GT Planet has a far broader membership that those who only play GT5, I can 100% guarantee you that we have plenty of members who came here for earlier versions of GT, have never bought GT5, yet continue to post here.

Yes of course. Both games are great and have their (dis-)/advantage. So i play both :)

No support for Logitech products, so Forza is out of the question for me.

And on the Forza Forum he asks:
Anyone here playing GT5 ?
i play both every day i wonder if more here do the same?

AND THEN...
The same kind of "i know everything better" people (Wich are well present in GTPforum) will say to him:

This is the wrong forum ! This is Forza only forum. We got a small gt5 corner Go ask there Or i tell my mommy!

:ouch::ouch::ouch:
Just let the man ask if ther are forza players here and whats their opinions about it...

Little more peace and love we need here :p

My g27 wont work with forza? I never knew that...

I made a review (XBL Gamtertag "sutobe") of the XCM F1 converter which emulates the wheel as a controller.

YEEEESSS I know its not like a proper supported wheel, anyone who want to come up with that spare me please. If I want to experience real racing I jump in my car and drive either north or east for 1 1/2 hours what will lead me either to the Nürburg- or the Hockenheimring, so I'm not desperately dependent of a perfect gaming rig.

If you already have a Logitech wheel and youre willing to pay for the converter its better than nothing.....although I have to say sometimes I'm faster with the controller but that depends on the car and the track.

My G25 is pretty worn out as well, since Logitech offered me a 50 % discount on a G27 I might buy that when my G25 falls appart.

XCM is also testing something new now, I emailed them for further information but they just said "theyre working on it"

http://www.xcm.cc/

Clutch, shifter (H-pattern 6 speed??) and sensitivity (Force Feedback, not just Rumble?).......lets see when they're going to release it and what that thing can do

As for the G27, you CAN'T use the shifter with that converter because the G27 doesn't have the sequential gear change, you still can use the paddle shifters though.

in my review there's also a link to a modification tutorial for a G25 shifter to work on a G27 wheel.

When I buy the G27 (only if I wont fall for a Fanatec) I'll modify my G25 shifter.

Nope. It's a bunch of crap. Microsoft has some proprietary protocol they want to charge wheel manufacturers to use to interface with the 360, so the Logitech wheels won't work.

I'm sure there's a lot to that story, but the bottom line is that the biggest wheel/pedal manufacturer out there can't be used with one of the better console racers. I refuse to purchase a second wheel/pedal/stand setup when I've got nearly $500 invested in the one I already own that *should* be plug and play.

It's such a disappointment because Forza has a great track list and IMO the sound is incredible compared to GT5.

I agree with that. And a better and bigger car selection. Sry standard cars doesnt count because they are ugly and not in PS3 Quality at all.

I play more GT5 so.... nope not a fanboy :)

I did for a while..and they are both good games but I didn't get the same satisfaction as I do from GT though. Car Bowling is fun.:sly:

I don't have a XBox.

I admit a I shelled for a new one for it..well that and TDU2.

I watched a video on it.

Hiw do standard cars "not count". They were cars that had been there since the beginning of GT (lots anyway) and just because they aren't as good quality they don't count? Sorry but Forza is years behind GT and always will be. You just can't make up that time that GT has been doing this.

I have both, and I play both every day. IMO both are amazing titles. Each have their strong and weak points as well.

Like another member posted, I too play several different titles. I even have cross platform titles on both consoles. I'm not a fanboy of any one title because I have yet to find a single title that excels in all areas.

I use the MS Racing Wheel for Xbox titles, and a DFGT for PS3 titles. I wish Logitech would make their wheels compatable for the 360 as my DFGT is way better than the MS Wheel.

How is Forza years behind GT5? I'm curious.

GT can actually learn a few things from Forza.

I think its the Audi R8 and Porsche 911 story that he is eluding to here, the Porsche has been around for 30+ years and has a great following and history, yes the R8 is a great car but it will never have the same edge/history and feels empty in comparison.

The standard cars count, although honestly..... I don't need 40 Mazda MX-5s in my garage, so I think the car difference may be a tad (a lot) inflated. Also, unless I'm running a challenge where I want to run the bumper cam for fewer distractions and the best sense of where the car is at, I always prefer to run the interior view....... so I don't drive the standard cars all that often and the fact that they're there isn't as important to me.

I'm not downing GT, because clearly I'm a fan. I just don't think that GT being a good game means that Forza has to be "years behind."

It really seems to me that the choice between Forza and GT for most people comes after the decision to purchase a 360 versus a PS3. Other than the biggest fans of either series, I doubt most people are purchasing the hardware just for one of these games.

Well this has turned into another GT vs FM thread, and we already have one of those.
