I changed the menu music to a playlist of the Gran Turismo 1 dealership music. I feel so epic.

And I'm working on getting all the music for the race music.

Got download links, just gonna take a while. :D

If you have all download links, could you please PM me? ;)

I do have The Cardigans album Gran Turismo, but that's from GT2, right?

youtube.com < Use it
Soundzaa.com < To get it from youtube :D

Never mind then...
You maybe feel epic, but you're not untill you provide me with direct download links ;)

Thats cool. the only thing i have done was change the background music during races to the GT2 sountrack, that was my favorite GT soundtrack. my menus are still the default music from GT5. i didn't know you could change those too

Sorry for kinda hijacking the thread, but reading this brought me an old question I never remembered to ask: can you make a playlist of custom songs or is the game set to play only one external music?

not sound like a jerk but theres a trophy for having custom driving music so yes you can do custom music in the game.

You didn't, but I think you didn't understand my question. Let me try to make it clearer: I know I can put custom music in the game, but I never found a way to put more than one. I just want to know if there's a way to have a custom "playlist", as opposed to a single custom "song" :)

You have to dump all the songs in a folder in your ps3's music folder. Then when choosing the user BGM from the menu, I think there is a shuffle mode or something like that (I forget). I do know that once the folder containing the first tune is selected GT5 will then play your tunes in that folder in a random order.

Menu can be set to one folder, race BGM to another folder. 👍

Woot, nice! Gotta try that as soon as I get home! Just one last question, even though I'm pretty sure the answer is "no": can you have a playlist containing songs both from an external folder and from the game's own song list? GT5 does have some pretty nice music, and it would be neat to simply enhance it :)

Actually you have to select "new playlist" from the music section of the xmb. Name it GT5 (or whatever you want). Then add the tracks from your music folder to said playlist by pressing triangle and selecting the add option. Then select that palylist in the options menu in GT5.

Back on topic. That sounds like a good idea. I thought of that but couldn't be bothered to look for and download all the original music. I did however add Moon Over the Castle from GT4. It sounds epic when your racing.

I don't know why, but I never thought to do this. I made custom playlists in Wipeout HD with all the tracks from every other Wipeout, that was just amazing nostalgia. Brought a tear to my eye, it did. Thanks for this.
