As I said my projector has a long bulb life so that means 1 bulb per 3-5 years, not per year, I never would have gotten it if it cost that much to operate, it ends up to 10 cents an hour.
If you wanna compare compare something similar not a tiny 32". I could have gotten a 50 or 60" TV but that's $5000, my projector was $1400, so for $3600 less, I got a much bigger screen, that I can make even bigger when I move, and can afford over 50 years of bulb life to match the price of a 50 or 60" TV.
And if you want to do a real comparison, a TV the size of my screen is $20 000 US, I paid $1000 US, that's $19 000 cheaper.
