Yeah its a real great car apart from the rust probs.
Lucky thats the only rusty part on the whole car. its been covered in rust killer products and grease until the weather gets better.

Dude , I buyed this game only for the BMW E30. When the first GT5 list leaked, they said there would be BMW E30 M3 ( and also BMW 635 CSI 1976). I just buyed it for that. I nearly wanted to cry when the car wasnt in the game. I will buy NFS Shift 2 to just play with the BMW E30 M3 on a PS3 console.

I also wanted :

BMW M3 E92 GT2
BMW M3 E36 GT-R ( 1998 )
BMW M5 E39 ( 2002 )
BMW M6 1978 ( old model )
BMW M6 2006 ( new model )

But really, I would buy over 20 BMW E30 in different colors. I just so love that car. Yes I LOVE that car.

Edit: Back on Topic: It's ugly, but I'd like to drive that E30 V8 engine swap around the Nordschleife …

I just drove my E30 the other night around the ring. Exhilarating to say the least. Sure wish it was in GT5 to enjoy . I think I'll try the engine swap you're talking about and try that too. I'll buy another one though so as not to mess up my original. This E30 thread got me interested in the car again, even though I'm no big fan of it. lol. All these real life photos and vids got the juices flowing, they may be off topic but they get the essence of the thread pumping. Nobody is going to rip on you because it's not exactly an E30 on GT5 so don't fret That would be childish. More E30 action no matter what the source the better!

EDIT: When looking at those headlights in that photo they don't look as recessed as the other lights in other photos. Strange. In that photo that have almost that same "on the same plane" look we were talking about.

I grew up with three different e30s

One of them was during my college years.

Truly one of the most well engineered cars, beautiful with its timeless lines and a real driver's car thanks to its engaging feedback.

I hold high regards toward those who willingly maintain one and drive one. Those people still know what "driving" really means!

Another reason for making it DLC. In GT5 you always have space in your garage!

Rare swap: F20C into an E30. Reminds me of my GT4 BMW 2002 hybrid with an F20C swap. Sweet memories.
