Anyone sick of the Speed 12 in the drift trials?

That and the V8 Vantage. I usually can get gold with my 500hp RX7 or some AMG models, but nothing so unrealistic as a 1200hp Speed 12 going around turns in 4th gear at 40mph. That is not drifting. I'll never use the Speed 12, and thats why I'll never break into the top 10000 lol.

I think its stupid, but I honestly don't care and it doesn't bother me..As long as I get that gold and the $$$ I'm happy.

I can break the top 500 with a premium mustang using a ds3.
One time I did a trial right when it started and got 43. I was jumping all over the place. Sent a picture to my buddy that says "gt5 drifting is stupid. I drift forza because it's harder." He doesn't understand what it means when I can drift gt5 and forza while he can drift forza but not gt5. Hmmmm :sly:

As long as I can continue to gold every event in my 370bhp 300ZX (so far so good, even on dirt and snow!), I don't mind if I end up in 5,000th place because the 4,999 people ahead of me are all using the Speed 12.

Besides, if you ban the Speed 12, another car will take it's place.

I've commonly been in the top 1000 my first or second try on the drift trials with a best of 254th place in an 02 rx7 so that other car is deff not needed. Maybe it's just that it slides super slow with the tires turning a million miles an hour and that really racks the score up??? OR it could just be a case of "MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO" I've looked at the top cars in the time trials to judge what I should be using, so just maybe others are doing this for the drift trials and EVERYBODY follows suit

Never felt the need to try to do these drift trials over and over. normally 1st run is gold and second is smoother because I know the section and pull a good placement and then I'm done.

EDIT
I have not looked at the leaders but they all used to be DS3 users. I'm on a G27 using the clutch and a custom handbrake.

I use a '61 E-Type and do well to get 10,000 points in each of the drift trials, but I love drifting that thing. So, long as I get gold, I don't care.

Now, for the Time Trials, I run them until I simply cannot get any faster. That usually nets me in the top 1000 by the time the event is up.

I mainly use cars that people overlook, did the two new trials in the '03 Z4 and the Tuscan

I'm shooting for sub 2000 with the tank car. Il be attempting it later tonight.

The OP will also probably complain about Mclaren's and Nissan R390's in the time trial events

As for me I use one that many people overlook as well, the '07 Mazda RX-8.
I can get to the top 1000 by the end of the events. So, I don't really bother cause in the end I can still get better scores than many Speed 12 users.

I use the corvette 60' great car to drift, golded everyone since I started using it to drift. I got 13,xxx on the high speed ring today.

I'd enjoy some variety, but oh well, their loss.

The most fun I've ever had with the drift seasonals was cracking 500th with the Yaris.
(even though it was on a snow track.)

Well u did it did u? Lol now I want u to beat all there 1000 horsepower tvr's in a yaris

Earlier today i cracked 900's in highspeed ring with my 350z :dunce: i used to always ignore the v8 vantage '99 when i saw it in the UCD guess i deserve it :(

It's the best and only way to win top 10. However they are trying new things with the drift trials such as dirt/snow trials etc. I saw a very old Volkswagen beetle in the top 10 once lol.

Why should it be banned? GT5 Players bought the car so they can use it if they want.

I usually use my Little street S2000 because I'm too cheap to buy the race one

I prefer using my Hachi Roku (SS Version) 2000 with CH tyres at 3rd gear or taking the Juliet tune of RKM and see if I can control it.

I usually use one of my 1970 Hakosuka GT-R's or my 300C and they haven't failed me yet.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in C5 variety for me.

Black on black with the 80s rap video bodykit and about 550HP on comfort tires.

Looks like the batmobile and I love it every time.

I'd like to see some restricted DTs like all the other events: especially a 120 BHP limit

I use various cars for drift trials, always try the Subaru 360 if the course is suitable, Shelby Cobra, SS edtion AE86, classic SKylines, 240Z, Holden Monaro. Always trying something new...👍

I could care less what the leaders are using. I love my Shelby GT350R '65, it drifts and sounds amazing.

..

i've been using a toyota 86 concept '09 and having fun doing it...i get my golds

People use it because it gives you the highest point total.

Its an easy car to drift but based upon how the game determines drift points, it gives you more points than any other car. I cracked the top 150 on the Nurb sector the other night on my first try in my Lexus IF Racing concept but was still way off on point totals to get close to the leaders.

long as I get the money and prizes, I'm happy but you can gold the events with pretty much any car you want (don't know about the high speed ring though)

I Use a ds3 And use the Drift Skyline from the premium dealership a (cant think of the name whatsoever) Its a challenge that way!
