Dear God. :o

Lykan Hypsersport, sounds more like a Star Wars cruiser than Supercar.

With a 750bhp, twin-turbo flat-six wedged in behind the driver, the LykanHypersport can apparently hit 60mph in 2.8 seconds (that's faster than an Aventador) and on to a ‘break neck' (their words, not ours) top speed of 242mph. Ouch.

But this isn't just a fast car: it's also a fast, luxurious car. With diamond-encrusted LED lights, gold-stitched leather, suicide doors and a state-of-the-art 3D Virtual Holographic Display with Tactile Interaction and a revolutionary LD4Motion interactive dashboard (yeah, us neither), it's... blingy.

That's not all. Like J-Lo, the car comes with a 24-hour dedicated concierge service and a free $200,000 special edition Cyrus Klepcy watch. Only seven will be produced, though we'll believe it when we actually see it in the flesh next week.

Lol And what's really funny is that this is serious. Those wealthy guys can, and WILL do this. This will be entertaining.

Is it really a first? The only Arab high-end auto-maker that jumps to mind is Laraki, who built concepts and production ready prototypes but never got to building/selling cars before they went belly up a fair few years ago. Still, the Laraki Fulgura prototypes have to be the first Arab supercars, right?

$20 says it ends up failing & gets swept under the carpet when they realize they can't make it happen. Just like Dubai's dreams....

Is it only me who finds this thread title (and some of the dismissive posts) offensive? If someone could explain to me exactly why "This can't end well" that would be awesome.

As someone who lived in the middle east and is often mistaken for Arab, I don't really find any offense to it.

Second, this can't end well because, well, just look at the rendering then consider the past where a lot of other clowns promised big things but disappeared once the the going got tough.

As an arab I don't to be honest ,Who know how that would end up actually, with the amount of money they have everything is possible.

Don't see the few (or only?) dismissive posts being offensive (at least not to me) but I understand your criticism of the thread title, I too find there's a suggestion of, well, you know what I mean.

I thought when seeing the title it would be about some crazy Arabs doing crazy stunts as there's plenty of clips of that.
I didn't expect the suggestion Arabs by definition wouldn't be able to build a supercar or succeed in doing so, I can see the obvious reservations about this car in question but how that would be caused by the builder's ethnicity escapes me to be honest, culturally defined taste patterns perhaps to an extend but that would also be a stereotype (although this car doesn't help to counteract those I'll admit) that needn't necessarily have to ring true obviously.

Just want to mention that the middle east currently produces very few, if any, cars for the world's driver; I seriously doubt thats a good start for building a rediculus hyper car.
Maybe thats why it was said "this cant end well."

the Lykan Hypersport has been revealed in its interesting metal at the Qatar show. Limited to only 7 units, the supercar will cost a whopping 3.4M USD.

Beirut-based W Motors says it has a twin-turbo, flat-six,mid-rearenginegenerating 750 hp (559 kW) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, enabling the car to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds en route to a top speed of 245 mph (395 km/h).

also get a Special Edition Cyrus Klepcys Watch worth more than 200,000 USD.

It doesn't look that bad, but the price is way to high.

So, 3.4 million dollars for a ridiculous car from a company no one's heard of with a ridiculous name.

Also, does anyone else think it looks kind of like a messed up GT-86 from the front?

Ok, so just read the specs and watched the videos. Here's my opinion on it;

DESIGN
The first thing I feel is that this is a very polarizing design. It's gonna turn alot of heads, for better or worse. You can tell the designers are very much into design trends from other companies, but with a 90's posters on my wall kid flair thrown in there. We have oversized side vents, and lines and sharp edges everywhere. It's a semi wedge shaped car, but with a shorter stack and overall shape resembling an R8. I actually like the sides and rear areas! I feel the front area in the weakest element. The quad light setup is interesting (and diamonds in the LEDs makes me a little hot for some reason), but the overall design of the front seems kind of last minute, or rushed. Maybe that will change on the final cars (if this design isn't production ready, that is). Can't wait to see these gold laced seats in the interiors.

PERFORMANCE
Firstly, this numbers are not worthy of the price tag. I don't care how few are being made, that is ridiculous. They aren't bad numbers in the least bit, but you can get similar performance figures from new and old cars alike, and pay millions less. But this is the super rich who are the potential buyers, not my broke ass. Time will tell if they can actually get it to do those numbers, though. Maybe Leno will get one in his Garage, like he did the similar Zenvo ST1.

Just my two (long) cents.

Looks like it's straight out of a burnout game. I kinda like it because of that.

Looks very cool, I like it. But a bit expensive I think? Even though the Luxorious Interior should be that expensive.

I just converted into Euros.. 🤬 , it's twice much as a Veyron. :odd:

Don't like the looks at all. The front looks like someone kicked in the sides of an FR-S and the side vents are way too big.

Look odd, rear looks like an LFA almost, with the shape of the lights, front looks horrible and sides are just messed up.
I certainly won't be buying it.....

I simply hate the A pilar... such as crap...

Overall look good. Agressive. But nothing new. I would (in another lifetime) pick the Huayra without think twice.

Since I'm an arab ,wow this thing looks stunning great job gents....... Hold on a minute it is actually a looker .

Yep, no competition, a Huayra (currently the only supercar I can think of which I actually lust after, anything else is just meh in comparison) and plenty of spare cash left to indulge in other (very expensive) cars.
Although unfortunately I don't have to make that decision....ever.

I don't like the design, and the price tag is ridiculous. I really liked the Laraki, and obviously I love the Zenvo ST-1, but this one just doesn't appeal to me.

What the heck is that guy supposed to be grinding?

My opinion on the looks is that it looks like a Lamborghini replica car built off the chassis of some old Cadillac.
