I golded every amg academy challenge and got the gt-r record so i wanted to know if this challenges helped me to be a reasonable nordscheleife racer. i want your help by telling if my times are good or bad here are some

6:42.xxx Mark IV (Deafult, Racing soft)
6:46.xxx Veyron (same thing)
6:54.xxx SLR (full tuned)
6:59.xxx M3 (Tuned)
7:01.xxx NSX RM (Fully Tuned)
7:55.xxx ford GT (default)

my times are

6:36 ZZII 00'...... i seen a 6:00 before online with this car
6:30 GT-R
6:17 Audi R8 tronic

Depends on the tyres, if you're running racing tyres for example, 6:54 in a full tuned SLR is not so great.

Looking at your times, a good example of a decent time for a standard Veyron at 6:46 would be if you did it on Sports Softs.

Check out the public laptime board and go to the tab for the Nordeschleife.

The link is in my sig, there is also a thread on here about it.

I know that one can drop about 30 seconds.
If you can get the GT-R trophy without SRF, you can run better than these times. Maybe you're not putting as much into these as you did that one.

For sure it wouldn't help you if you wanted to race on nordshleife in reality...

With racing soft it becomes so easy I hardly see the point.

WOW  👎 How many times does he want to cut the corner? Nothing great about that lap in my opinion, just someone that has learnt to exploit the penelty sytem to get a good time.

Yea wtf, he spent more time on the grass than the pavement. 4 wheels off in a few spots....

Try those lines in a car without Noob-Wheel-Drive and see what happens....

That lap should have been disqualified so many times. I don't see the point in laptimes driven like that.

Last night I tried to do the GT-R trophy (without SRF and Lawnmower Corner Cutting Technology), had 7.32, at least I came close with clean driving. Tonight I will retry.

I tried doing that one time in my gtr. It didn't work well. Kept getting lap times invalidated.

You both sound like you could post better times...

Why so negative?👎

From the 'GTPlanet Online racing (rules and guidelines)' thread:
Offline racing
B) Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the track/circuit which includes the rumble strips and footpaths, but not grassed areas.
F) Any kind of rumble strip made of concrete, stone etc are part of the track unless otherwise stated in the Race Specifics section of any given event.

These rules and guidelines are accepted by most big forums.

What this means is that he only broke the rules once in that lap and I think he didn't even gain time from it.

So I'll be the first in this thread to say, great lap.👍

My rules are, if in real life the car would either be damaged/destroyed or the lap would be disqualified in real life, then the lap doesn't count.

In real life the car would have been ruined and the lap would have been disqualified in the first few corners.

6:42.xxx Mark IV (Deafult, Racing soft)

There's plenty of room for improvement in those laps ;)

My times with those two same cars:
6:31.531 - NSX RM - Racing-Softs
7:18.563 - Ford GT - Sports-Hards

In general, just keep driving around the track with those cars, do at least 2-3 laps of the track to get used to all the braking points and the gear you have take each corner in :)

I need to know too

Sarthe 2009:
Audi R10 TDI '06 3:24.716
I know it's okay fast, but is there anyone who has a better time, so I have something to aim for? :)

edit:
I have looked at the puplic lap times, but there are no time for this car, only my own time

edit:
the time was done with a DS3, and ABS:1 as the only Aids and manuel gear

another edit:
just did it in 3:24.632 lost about .600 in the porche curves

Video of 1st place:

3 wheels off second turn.
So Mr. Holland holds the record.

Video of 1st place:

2 wheel violations at 47 sec, 60 sec, and 69 sec, just in sector one alone. If any part of the tire touches the grass then that tire is not legal.

No I could not post a better time, I have no doubt that person is a very skilled driver in the way he handled the car, but from that lap its not impressive to watch as he corner cuts so much to get a good time.

You just stated right there "must be in contact with the track/circuit which includes the rumble strips and footpaths, but not grassed areas" having 2 wheels on the rumble strip and 2 on the grass is not part of the track, if your wheels are on the grass you are corner cutting. His driving skill is impressive the lap he does is not.

GTRP-Forum for the Nissan GTR Nordschleife-Trophy on S1 tires.

Is this forum in the "online racing" section?

I havn't been able to find it.

GTRP is the biggest german Gran Turismo board with over 20.000 members. :sly:

Our rules are the same like on GTP. These rules where made many years before GT5, when it was only possible to compare laptimes at the Internet by posting them into a board like GTP. :sly:
As w-g-e mentioned he only had 1 real offtrack by following the general rules of Online-Racing and Timetrails.

But it shows what times are possible in this challenge.

In that case take another look at the replay, count the number of wheels on track at the time 1:00 of the video..

Danke schön for the info.

This is why I don't bother with online. You can play to your rules all you want, but I'll stick with what would be allowed in real life. That lap wouldn't.

Yes, I stated he broke the rules once.

Please read both rules before you comment.

Please read both rules before you comment.

Breaking the rules is breaking the rules though... So whether he broke them one time or twenty times, the lap should be disqualified.
