Are you a collector or a seller?

  • I collect every car I acquire, both prizes and purchases.

Hi Guys,

Interested to know how many of you collect every prize car(or purchased car) you get, and how many of you sell your prize cars for money.

I've been collecting each car, knowing that I can't win them again and holding them for the possibility of using them to pass various races but since the trading aspect of the game has flourished I'm thinking about selling the ones I dont use and putting the money to better use once I reach the later stages of the game where I need to spend more money.

I'd also rather have a purpose-built garage full of cars that I love, rather than a bunch that I dont use.

I've done a search and couldnt find a similar thread, so I hope this is ok in here.

I've kept all but one of my cars. Selling them is pointless since you get so little money for them.
 
I have been keeping them for the same reason. If there is a patch in the future that lets you re-win them I might sell some.

I also haven't had much need for the credits as you win plenty especially starting with stealth cars.

I have 91 cars right now and it is a pain going through that list.
 
i've been keeping all the cars that i win.
 
I collect them there's no real point in selling. (unless your hard up for cash)
 
I've sold a bunch for cash to upgrade cars I really love. I don't want cars in my garage that just collect dust.
 
Main reason Im thinking of selling is to "refine" my garage. The money aspect would be second to that i guess, since you're right in that cash isnt too much of a problem normally.
 
Definitely a collector (part of the reason this game appeals to me so much). I have only sold 1 car, and that was because I won it in A-spec and B-spec, the Skyline G35 or whatever it was.
 
I was planning to not sell any, but I needed money at one point so I sold all of them and continued doing that. I stopped selling them now, though, and I will keep all the cars for now. They might come in handy. When I am done with B-Spec, I will sell cars I don't care about.
 
A collector. I've sold one car because I need a car for the rally event that was under the HP requirement, then I got an oil change.
 
do you win cars again if you complete the same race in B-Spec?
 
Depends on the cashflow situation and what I need.
 
I'm both in some ways.

I can buy an old BMW simply from a collector point of view and I can sell a car that I won't use anymore or got received as a gift.
 
I keep every car I get, even if it's a double or triple.
 
I'm somewhat collecting, but only for the purpose of the 1000 car trophy and other unlockables received for possessing a certain amount of cars. Therefore if I do need cash I am always happy to let a few go for a quick boost to the bank.
 
I won't keep cars just because I win them. I collect cars that are of interest to me (Still looking for the right 2002tii), but I sell cars that have no intrinsic value (Toyota Yaris RS).
 
I've kept all but two and that's because they were duplicates.
 
I trade them away or lend them to people. Or I keep them. I still can't get rid of that damn Maserati.
 
Sell the crap! Keep the cream cars!
 
Any of you aiming to collect all cars? And any idea how many the garage can hold?
 
I keep all of them, going for 1000 cars trophy (no, I won't buy 995 carts :P).
 
I keep most cars unless I have a duplicate or I really have no interest in the car. If I ever want it again I'm sure I will find it in the used car dealer eventually.
 
Uh oh, this thread was already made... for the record, I have been selling junk cars for cash but that's proving to be useless (they're not worth much).
 
i sold a few that are of little interest to me and are always in used cars, am a collector.
 
I'm a collector. I never sell any cars.
 
i sell all the under powered old cars. Will never touch them so might as well sell them. I only keep cars that I know I will drive at some point and tune.
 
I don´t sell, unless for some reason I get duplicates. I plan on owning as many different cars as humanly possible :D
 
Gotta catch em all.
 
So far I haven't sold a car yet in GT5, and since we can't win prize cars again, like we could in past GT games. I probably won't be selling them anytime soon.
