I may decide to pre-order following the State of Play on Weds, if I'm still uncertain I'll wait for reviews and opinions post-release and then decide. I don't need to buy Gran Turismo 7, I don't spend that long on the Playstation these days, but if it looks good enough to justify a purchase anyway, I'll pull the trigger.

You can display them, loan them out to friends. Or if you don't like the game, you can get ripped off by trading the game in for $5 at Gamestop to have them sell it for $55.

Haha, yes I have fond memories of trying to sell games back to a game store, I had a few games with me and they wanted to buy them for less than €3 per game (while they were selling used copies for 30-40€ still), I told the person he was delusional and left with my games that I still have, selling them yourself on a 2nd hand websites is the only way to go when trying to sell your old games.

I was disappointed it was cross gen too but the more I see of it and all the other games whice are cross gen the ps5 versions will still look good and run silky smooth.

Also having a GT game releasing so close to launch means we may actually get 2 entries this generation and I assume by then the second release fot the PS5 will be next gen only.
In my view, AAA games are so time consuming and expensive to make nowadays that they always release broken and the players end up being the beta testers. The aforementioned Cyberpunk, GTA Trilogy, ANY Sonic game, Pokemon BDSP are just some few recent examples. The Gran Turismo series does have a bad reputation for delays and launching subpar, broken messes like GT2 and 5. When Sport launched, the FFB and tyre physics were laughably bad.

Again, I'm hyped for GT7 and I sincerely hope it bucks the trend. But no way am I going to show unconditional support for the game by buying it at launch, especially when news that it's cross platform came rather late into development. It just sounds like a recipe for a broken game.

Remember no pre orders.

I came close to pre ordering bf 2042 it felt like I dodged a bullet.
After previous Battlefields I wouldn't pre-order any BF, I wasn't disappointed when I pre-ordered GT Sport, I have confidence that they won't make a CyberPunk 2077 situation out of it!

Never paid for a new GT game before, it'd always been a Christmas gift, this time I've pre-ordered it myself, $154. What's my other option? Buy the regular version for $80 and watch it drop to $25 in 8 months? Nah, I want to play it now, I wanted to play it 7 years ago! Gotta be the top edition. (Just don't announce additional monetisation all of a sudden, Sony)
The price is a bit steep, especially for what few extras it includes, but if I were two people sharing the PS5 disc and PS4 code it'd be good value. As it stands I'll be playing on PS4 until the PS5 hits shelves in 2024 lol.

I will, if I know the AI has improved. If it's still like Gran Turismo 6 and Sport (tons of rubberbanding, lack of challenge) I will not buy it. :(
I'm thinking and quietly hoping that we'll know the answer to that tomorrow! During the State of Play event, hopefully we can see that the AI has improved as well as the settings for the AI.

I normally don't do preorders anymore myself. But GT7 is my exception to that rule.

Plan was to have a PS5 by now. Which would have been ideal. GT Sport on PS4. GT7 on PS5. Probably the Deluxe Digital. But that didn't happen.

Plan B is get the PS4 Standard version. I'm ordering soon.

Funny how I was split between the most expensive and cheapest options. Not about the cost, it just worked out that way after thinking it over.

GT is the only one game series me actually interests still. Grand theft auto got self destroyed, the great need for speed is nearly dead, Forza games are not my style to upspaced, games like Grid gets end of life after only one year, that sucks. So Gran Turismo is the one and only for me now.
It’s a pleasure, too see, how Gran Turismo fights against forza.
But for future, I think, Microsoft will clearly dominate the Racing market. If they buy EA for example, too, they will have nearly every competitors in their hand. Who knows.

It depends on PS4 Pro footage. Anything worse than GT Sport would make me consider waiting until I have a PS5, which is unlikely to be anytime soon.

I thought I read that for the base version for PS4 you can download 2 days before March 4. So that's what I intend to do to avoid congestion on lau

What's the benefit of physical?
Well others have giving you a good answer but i'll give you my.

I buy my games physical when there special and gt is a special series to me since i been with it since the start back in 1998. I buy digital when its not a special game to me and i don't mind owning it.

That's really all that's to it for me when it comes to physical or digital.

I definitely would have bought physical, but why buying because of the lack of physical content of GT7.

Am I buying it at lunch?
Not sure, it could be breakfast or dinner time 🤔

I keep saying to myself that I'll wait to see the reviews but an impressive State of Play would probably change my mind.

Plus I need to dig out my Orange Box shirt from 2016 and wear it every day for at least a month to maximise its potential ... :D

I’ve got the Anniversary Edition hard copy preordered and got March 4th off work. I’m ready.

I am waiting for the PS5 to be at a reasonable price and only then I will think about buying both the game and the console. I'm not going to play it on PS4.
