I can't wait to try this! For some reason I a hard time tuning this car. I also hate how insanely off the pp is for this car, which pretty much makes it uncompetitive all together :guilty:.

PP is bogus on this and many other small displacement, light cars. Autobianchi has the same problem. Let me know what you think-I really got lucky on this one- my first guess was not far from what ended up with. Ialso Managed to avoid that whole dance where you change everything only to end up where you started .

I agree, it's very annoying how off the PP is on very light cars. I love the Caterham but it isn't competitive because its PP is so high, which means it's just collecting dust. Unless you're a GT savant who can drive the Caterham at 100% for lap after lap, the car is simply useless. I feel the exact same about the Mini Marcos. For instance, with your tune I lapped the Matterhorn long course at an average of 1:53:xxx per lap, yet my fastest balls-out lap was 1:46:6! But in competition I'm just not good enough to keep the average speed high enough to stay in the 1:40s. Speaking of which, your tune is good! I applied NOS (first car I did so actually) so I could at least use it in some career mode events. But overall it's a lot of fun. Corner entry is sharp and fast. Easy to hold the line through mid-corner, and fairly easy to throttle up for a decent exit. Like many FF cars if you're a bit too vigorous with the throttle on exit it will push wide. I tinkered with the LSD but nothing seemed to fix that. Overall it is a very fun tune!! Kudos again! I think my problem with tuning this car is I did, just like you said, tuned it too far and was just digging a deeper hole the more I tweaked the car, not realizing that it just needed a little help over stock settings, not a lot. Cheers!!

Lsd decel seems to make the biggest difference on entry and particularly helping put the power down on exits. Thanks!

Actually looks alright slammed with the right wheels. The wing has to go as well. Rubbish on tight circuits....which totally explains the "stay classy burnouts in Monaco" motif. Now that would be a fun event--get a bunch of not so classy muscle machines (and drivers) together and clog streets of the principality; revving engines, doing burnouts and generally causing mayhem. You could call it "Monte Carlos in Monte Carlo..." Or just "3" ;)

One of those cars that works well as a grip car, but is also a very friendly and forgiving oversteer car. As I have stated previously, you can't really go wrong with a V12 either. If you feels like showboating very inappropriately, then this is the Aston for you.

The phrase "pulls like a freight train" most accurately describes this car's powertrain. It also has some other characteristics in common with a freight train, so it must be hustled with care. But hustle it you can.

I actually love the Cobra R in GT6. I've seen several people say it's slow for its PP range, doesn't take tight circuits well, etc. But this car absolutely kills the Indy Road Course, Laguna Seca, Brands Hatch, Grand Valley, and Nurburgring GP/D. I find it to be quite competitive. I'll give your tune a go soon and see if it's even faster!

The car had some nasty on-off throttle snap that took a while to iron out. Not sure that I eliminated it completely.
The problem on tighter circuits is that big F150 lump out front; which is compounded by the fact that the car is a bit on the soft side, so you really need to plan ahead to transfer weight properly. Tight circuits like Monaco or Tsukuba, and particularly autumn ring mini, don't give you enough space to do this properly. I tried everything to make the car roll less-stiffer springs, arb's, and dampers- everything made the car worse. Really curious for your thoughts on this and eliminating that "snap."

P.S. sorry I didn't post yesterday's updates to your thread. I totally forgot!

Great tunes! I've already tried many of them. Especially like the peugeot 106 ralley and the ur-quattro. And won the 10 rounds on ascari endurance race against bugatti's and ferrari's with your autobianchi a112 :) (+18 sec)
Also like the fact that your not trying to make an FF car feel like an FR car by adding insane amounts a ballast in the rear. That makes them sluggish and spoils the driving fun.
Continue the good work!

P.s. The ur-quattro is even more balanced and easier on front tyres with 50kg balast +50

Thanks! Funny thing is that I haven't used any of these cars for career mode, it's always fun to hear the crazy things that people are using them for. Honestly I never thought the A112 could be competitive against anything, let alone Ferraris and Bugattis! Been meaning to mess around with the ur-quattro, I'll give your ballast suggestion a try!

The nice thing about racing your streetcars on ascari is that you need a balanced tune to win, and since it is not a fast circuit light cars with high pp have an advantage since you can use softer sports tyres and in some you don't have to pit at all. Drove it twice with your honda civic type r 08 (best FF?), and set a better overall time in normally aspirated trim than in turbo aspirated trim for instance, both on SS tyres.

That's actually really good info, I got the impression that most of my FF setups were really hard on the fronts. The civic is pretty nasty (in a good way! ) and wouldn't surprise me if it was faster NA. I just like cars with too much power! Not sure about "best FF car" though. I am very partial to the Spoon cars; just redid the Integra and I really like it. I'll try to update the post for it after this.

I've tried out the spoon civic '00 and.... you'r so right! What a car! I've also given a honda civic type R '97 the same setup and that works equally well. The couple are now my online racing track tools. The honda for the faster circuits (slightly heavier but more hp) and the spoon for the slower tracks (better brakes and higher corner speed).
Made 1 adjustment though: increased the LSD deceleration from 23 to 40 since the cars were nervous on high speed braking making me clip the grass regularly resulting in a spin. This also resulted that mid turn braking (going in to fast, I'm a moderate driver:() results in turning the nose towards the inside of the corner instead of drifting out of the corner.

FF's braking and exit characteristics are greatly affected by LSD decel. Curious to give this a try.

Tried this out. Has quite a bit more understeer on turn in, but exits feel better. Personally, I prefer more off throttle turn in, but some folks might like the easier corner exits.

That crazy inline-6 has such lovely power delivery! Around 100kg heavier than the Tamora, so you have to be very precise with it in order to do a good lap time. The oversteer is still there if you want it too! I recommend using the e-brake for maximum hoonage. Peter Wheeler come back already!

You hear stories of these running crazy amounts of boost on stock internals almost as often as you hear about them grenading motors. One of my favorite all time deeply flawed-but awesome cars, and guilty pleasures. This one turned out way better than my wildest expectations, and is particularly hilarious on the 'ring.

When my friend and tester Rhombohedron asked, in exhasperated tones: "why the hell does this this thing have so much power!?" The most appropriate answer I could think of was: "Because SRT4, bro."

If you push, it will push back; take it easy on the corner exits.

Amuse S2000 R1 '04
and Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera

Both of these cars are pretty good. The s2000 is very fast through the corners with a touch of oversteer, while the Z has tremendous stability as its weapon, giving the driver the confidence to attack lap after lap. I really love them. Their brilliance should come as no surprise, as even in the company of names like Kobayashi, Niikura, Ama-san and Ichishima; Tanabe-san from Amuse was a real genius. Many of his demo cars seemed to take performance tuning a step further than his peers. For instance, on the Super Leggera, many of the body panels were replaced with custom manufactured dry-carbon pieces for drastic weight reduction. I believe the s2000 R1 is the car that dominated BM's touge circuit for a long time.

Update 10/29/14 updated both tunes for new physics and added nurburgring transmissions.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '13

I know, I know, you're probably thinking that this car is a complete disaster with so much power. Honestly, I haven't heard anyone with nice things to say about this car; and I can't really understand why. It has terrific stability and really makes its tremendous power output accessible. Just remember how much power and weight this car has and brake accordingly. Lap times are still pretty silly even on SS tires. Take it for a spin!

I have never considered the Veyron to be a particularly good looking car, but I think I've managed to capture a few flattering angles.

Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus '00

Ahh yes, the little FWD Fiat from hell! I love this car; I love the styling, I love the powerplant, I love that it's Italian, I love that it's driven by the wrong wheels, I love that it's forbidden in the States, etc...what a brilliant car! Took a little while to tame the understeer on this one, but I think I got it. (Mostly.)

Update 9/29/14 updated for new physics. Added Nurburgring Transmission.

Two very interesting drives.

The S14 must have a very special SR20, because it has a crazy amount of power. One of my good friends has an S14 with a seriously built SR20 that is making close to 500hp at the crank. That car is already obscenely fast and pretty on the limit in terms of reliability/component life, not to mention driveability. Not sure where they found an extra 100hp. ("Lol just crank up the boost/bigger turbo, bro!" -I know, I know, but there has to be more to it than that.)

The GTR also has a very interesting motor. It revs all the way to 10,000 rpm, but the best shift is at 9,000. On the surface, this is very annoying because you have to resist the urge to just rev the crap out of it, and you are constantly having to think about when to shift. Once you get past this, you will realize that this setup lets you hold a gears a bit longer, rather than upshifting or banging it off the limiter. This Is very useful in tight, technical sectors. Both of these cars really come alive on the Nurburgring.

Sweet handling mini hatch! It just looks so cool, too, with it's little flares and body kit. Hilarious reprieve from the two monsters above.
